Peter D's reviews
16It's a great neighborhood drive bar with 4 days of Karaoke Th - Su. A bit pricey but that might be just my opinion.
The only reason it is getting 2 stars is the bartender was an awesome and attentive guy. Other than that it is a horrible place. Dirty and dingy. Pool tables are in horrible condition and not maintained. Seating was insufficient. They allow homeless and tweakers to hangout and pester the patrons. Avoid this place at all costs.
What night in Clairemont is complete without at least stopping by Peter D’s!? This is a great spot with good people. Walking in it’s just like you’re walking to your home and meeting up with all your friends and family! Best atmosphere ever!
This place is legendary for how divey and ridiculous it can be. This is the only bar I’ve ever actually seen a fist fight break out in. I also saw a 75-year-old woman get blacked out here and fall asleep on the concrete outside. My brother’s girlfriend witnessed a man getting head in the women’s bathroom once as well.
All that said, it’s cheap, they’ve got pool, the bartenders are usually upbeat and funny, and the Monday karaoke night is a blast.
Peter D’s is a wildcard. It also smells like a urinal cake. Try it out if you’re bored and curious. If you can’t handle bizarreness and odd, persistent smells, best to steer clear.
The staff is top notch. Jazzy. Rick. Josh.your staff is a professional and on task. Thanks. Mark speas
The air conditioner has been broken the entirety of this heat wave: (and sometimes it felt like it never even worked before. I literally cannot sit in there for over 60 seconds without the AC being fixed. The smell was absolutely awful and I had to walk out. Sadly. This was my go to spot with friends before…
Exactly what it should be - a local unpretentious joint with real people having fun drinking and singing karaoke. Generous pours and well-mixes drinks round out the experience.
Small, local, awesome. The neighborhood “cheers” this is a dive with a heart. The same peeps have been frequenting this spot for decades. Just love this joint! #pool #beer #localsandiegp
Great atmosphere and the staff is very friendly. My wife and I really enjoyed listening to the people do karaoke.
The best dive bar around. Prices are great, Rick n Jodie, and the others are fantastic. The Patrons are as colorful as anywhere.
The bar staff make this place. They are all excellent at remembering their guests and making them feel at home. They have karaoke and free pool nights, which are very popular. But the best part is Rick the bartender. He always has a funny joke and really goes above and beyond in making people comfortable. Don't be afraid to come solo, he will introduce you to everyone sitting near and if he's not busy he takes time to get to know you. They don't have a big selection of food items to purchase so they let you bring in food. I highly recommend a visit to Peter D's.
Little hole-in-the-wall been there forever. They do karaoke. Lida lawyer regulars in the neighborhood. But a friendly place.
One of my favorite bars in the world. Kareoke Friday and Saturday nights. 2 pool tables and a great crowd of people very friendly and a good time slot of fun and my best bartender ever AMBER
Great place. The regulars are very friendly and welcoming. The drinks are priced right and on Fridays and Saturdays they have karoake with a stage! The wait isn't that long. It's a lot of fun!
Great Place for Karaoke! We always have a great time when we come to San Diego! The Bar is very good and the Bartenders AWESOME!
The best dive bar in my San Diego experience. The bartenders are great, each one uniquely hospitable and almost always good humored. Karaoke sound and stage quality is well above par. I'm a fan of the music on Thursday and Saturday, as the hostess really make singers feel at home. This is a great bar to break the new singer jitters. The only thing keeping this from being a 5 star is the absence of happy hour snacks, although they do well to provide them during important weekend gamedays.
