PetSmart reviews
16I’ve been to this location before for grooming service & haven’t had an issue until this most recent visit. They told me it would be 3-4 hours because she was very matted which I understand because the texture of her fur & she recently had puppies who have been nursing off of her. They called after 2 hours and said she was ready for pick up. When I picked her up they started that she was going to have a lot of pink spots due to how close they had to get to the skin because of the matting. At first I didn’t realize that they cut her face as it was not bleeding upon pick up. It has been about 3 days & she scratched the scabbed area which began to bleed. If I knew they were going to cut her Face I would have preferred to have cut her fur at home myself.
This is my go to pet store, they always have the specialty refrigerated dog food my dog needs in stock and the staff is always super friendly and helpful.
Excellent staff. Experienced groomer delt well with my nervous German Shepard. Really appreciated the service. Good price for a de-shed.
So, now I take my dog here for grooming after finding no one in Oakhurst worth going to. Cut was great but I became concerned about how Fiona was being handled while having her claws cut. Don't ever pull a dogs leg around, tendon tears, fear, and other injuries can/will occur. I do like them but won't have them cut her paws anymore
Nice people, good selection. Has Vet inside store and dog grooming. Dog groomer Riley is awsome. Today 10/12. Siren (My Doberman Pincher) came in scared but came out happy after, nails, teeth, bath and ear cleaning. GREAT JOB RILEY!

I've been to the Doggie Hotel and the Groomer multiple times and I've never had a problem. And we got pictures with Santa here!
This location is smaller than most PetSmarts so sometimes there is often less stock for items like pet food. However it is always clean and the staff working both at the groomers salon and throughout the store are very kind and amazing with customers and their furry friends. The groomers in particular do a great job compassionately caring for pets. I highly recommend them! The parking at this location is also easy to find, even during peak times.
The only part of this location I strongly recommend against is their Banfield team. I have had several health scares with my pet here d/t the vets overlooking my pet's needs during his assessments which I've never encountered at any other Banfield my pet has been to in 7 years. One in particular a year ago that resulted in 6 months of recovery for my pup. A close friend of mine also had a similar experience and lost her dog (same breed) d/t their poor assessments and overall neglience in care. For local Banfields I highly recommend the one on Shaw by Big 5.their vets are amazing and helped heal my pup in no time, and are compassionate above all else!
Everything else at this location is awesome
Horribly dirty, fur all over the floor. Blood droplets on lobby floor along with piles of fur. We weren't contacted by phone until a half hour after an email. Ears weren't cleaned at all. We weren't told what the cost was when we dropped off. When we picked up hours later, even more dirty. Obviously they don't sweep or vacuum until the end of the day. Unbelievably, the blood was still on the floor when we picked up, I notified them about it as soon as I saw it when we arrived. I sure as heck don't want my pets to be licking that up or stepping in it. Would have left except we were in a time crunch before a trip.
I usually have good results from the groomers but I just had a terrible experience with the groomer Michael F. I do not recommend him and will no longer have him groom my dogs. My goldendoodle was shaved down short when that wasn't what I requested at all. He made the decision to use a different blade, a shorter blade, without contacting me. He made the executive decision to change my dogs hair without my approval and knowledge. When I spoke to him about it he was unapologetic and defended himself. He would not have even told me, he only told what blade he used when I specifically asked. It was very unprofessional and very rude.
Very very disappointed in this location for pet boarding. I used to go here, but management has changed. They weren’t willing to take one of my dogs because she was too scared to walk with them, but were willing to take my money for my other two dogs. Why would I leave just two of my three dogs with you? Their reasoning was “your dog doesn’t know how to walk. ” So I left and guess what, with my dogs following me all walking. Again very disappointed and will never return.
Friendly helpful staff and always greeting my dog who just loves everyone there even though she had a small issue getting her nails done nothing big just a sensitive foot!
Had a fabulous experience. From the lady checking us in, and being so accommodating; to the actual groomer herself. My dog had Jordan C; when we first arrived my dog was a little nervous, but when I came to pick her up, she was so mellow. Jordan C.gave my pup a great experience and I will be coming back to Jordan C.regularly.
If the fish are obviously dying they should be adoptable. It's not their fault but the store that they are dying and either the employees should be fired for waisting the stores money on dead fish or they should make them adoptable. EASY FIX. FISH LIVES MATTER TOO!
I went in around on Monday the 2nd around 12 PM maybe and the beta fish where dying. I had asked if the beta fish were adoptable since they were practically dead hoping to maybe bring them back to life some how at home. I ask the lady and understandably she said that they weren't adorable. I asked her why is was floating side ways on the top of the water and she told me "they do that when they have to much air" IF ITS GETTING TO MUCH AIR THE POOR THINGS ARE GLUPPING FOR AIR BECAUSE THEY PROBABLY TRYING TO FIND FOOD SO FEED THE POOR THINGS.
MORE THAN HALF OF THE FISH ON THE BETA DISPLAY WERE OM THEIR DEATH DEAD AND 4 OR 5 OF THEM WHERE DEAD.

My first time taking a dog to a "hotel" and I wasn't sure how to feel about it. The staff there were very accommodating and pleasant with our girl. We're definitely taking her back.
What a horrible experience. My wife and I took our daughter to PetSmart to buy our family’s first pet ever but as well as our daughters birthday present. Not only did it take 20 min for some one to assist us, the associate was barely any help. We informed the associate that we were first time per owners and had little to no clue of what a small hamster needed. I mentioned a 49.99 product that seemed like it included many of the things a hamster needed however the associate said that wasn’t the case. I understood what they meant by not everything but the associate was no help informing me what I needed exactly. He kept up selling me on a $200 habitat that needed $200 worth of other things. I explained I wanted it basic and the associate was no help. Instead he told us that there were other stores that had what I needed. I agreed, we left.
THANK YOU PETSMART. YOU HAVE FOREVER LOST A CUSTOMER.
HELLO PETCO!
I went in there for a name tag and I was able to get it engraved while I was there and the staff was very helpful they even put it on the collar for me.
