PetSmart, San Diego CA

There's an overwhelming amount of staff. They were all over the place. I became sick and ran out after my purchase.

I was walking by this PetSmart on my way to another store in the plaza. There was a PetSmart event going on, so there were many people outside on the sidewalk with their dogs. Before I turned the corner to see more people with dogs, one large dog ran over to the corner and ATTACKED a very small dog, possibly a puppy. This large dog was NOT on a leash, nor did it have a collar on. The large dog held the small dog in its mouth at one point, at which time the owner tried to intervene and pull the large dog away. It took a while, but eventually the large dog was removed by the owner pulling it by the back leg. To say the least, I am DISAPPOINTED in the owner for not having the large dog on a leash, but also disappointed in PetSmart for not having enforced leash laws more diligently- especially during a large event that THEY invited the public to. I understand dogs slip out of collars, so even if this was the case, it is up to the OWNER OF THE DOG to properly handle their dog, meaning proper harnesses if needed, etc and PetSmart to enforce that dogs attending this event are being properly handled by their owners since there are many other dogs, children, etc at this event. The small dog was hurt, and that owner now has unexpected veterinary bills to heal their pup. A PetSmart employee came over and demanded the owner of the large dog put it on a leash. This was good to see, but the situation could have been avoided using precautionary measures versus reactive measures.

Carolina in grooming was great. I didn’t quite know how to tell her what I wanted for my pom but she was patient with me, then did a great job! Thank you!

Be careful while bringing your dogs to the events this PetSmart puts on. Today I witnessed an unleashed and uncollared large dog attack someone's smaller dog (a pug). There was clearly an event being held, a line of people with their dogs and children were outside of the store. However, no employees were present outside to ensure dogs were being properly leashed/handled by owners, and thus, this attack happened. The smaller dog was hurt and an employee eventually came out to enforce leash laws, but again, the damage was already done. Very disappointed by not just the owner of this large dog, but of PetSmart for inviting the public to an event but not ensuring safety of owners, their dogs, or even the public near by. I was walking to Target when I witnessed this whole event right in front of me on the sidewalk.

The store is on the smaller side but it still has everything one asks for. It has grooming services. Its location is convenient considering it's next to many major retailers. One stop shopping.

Service was decent. However the staff couldn’t care less. Don’t expect friendliness or any kind of affable encounter. Get in get out. It almost appeared as customers were annoying them and wasting their time?

Walked in minutes before closing and was not rushed not felt like I was I wanted. Little selection on fish but other than that friendly staff and glad that I was able to buy what I wanted.

Good selection - They carry the complete Merrick line for dogs. Easy to order online and pick up curbside. Convenient store hours. Most orders are available the same day. They also carry numerous toys and Merrick treats.

Found what I needed for my pets and saved money with their amazing coupons. Friendly staff always greets you.

I've bought some fish here. They all looked healthy and the tanks look clean/maintained. I'm only a novice aquarium guy. The employees knew way more than me and turned me on to a couple of great products I had never tried.

Everyone at PetSmart is very friendly and helpful and I find all my needs for my kitty cat at PetSmart also

Don't go to Aero drive location if you want quality service. Extremely rude. Does not follow through on their word. You show up to find out what they said was stocked (and held) is not there.

It's a small branch, no vet, but staffs were friendly and nice. Took my dog for a photoshoot with Santa.

Friendly service - but a smaller store so it doesn't carry some of the items a larger store would.

We always find what our pets need here. Very convenient and the customer service is good.
I just wish their prices were better. No very many sales either.

Refused service thought I was buying as a feeder for no reason. Lady named Sammy never had it happen 10/31/17 rude af.

If I could give them a 0 star I would. They didn't even make me pay because of how horrible the lady with the white hair did. She shaved everything so horribly and uneven a child could have done her job. Never again will I take my yorkie to this horrible grooming salon.
