Philz Coffee reviews
16Coffees good - no espresso, pour over only - no flavors:/ kind of limited for today, but people are here
Philz is amazing. That's it. Go and don't worry about the line. Your barista will work with you to find your perfect roast and if you feel like something could and sweet the mint mojito iced coffee is positively heavenly.
Philz coffee is my favorite coffee shop in the world. Although they don't do espresso and lattes their pour over are just the greatest. There's so many flavor to choose from my favorite would be the philtered soul. It has this chocolate and hazelnut flavor without any additional artificial flavoring. I'll get my coffee iced and black so that I'm able to taste all the flavors of The Bean. Philz is awesome known for their mint mojito, it's a pretty refreshing drink for these hot days. I like to get Philz beans to take home and make my own pour over. They have a hazelnut bean that is out of this world. Philz is delicious but I think mine is better since I add more beans to it. This feels is a pretty cool place though it can get crowded because it's nearby to UCSD. Parking will be tough at all times so be prepared to spend a little extra time looking for parking.
The coffee here is delicious. The pastries are pedestrian. This location is typically busy so give yourself time if you are picking up a cup before going to an appointment. They also allow you to order ahead.
Wow, what an amazing place in La Jolla! Great atmosphere, five star service and good taste and good food as always from Philz
This was my first time here. I ordered the Tesoro hazelnut with oatmilk. It was delicious!
Really sweet and friendly staff, beautiful aesthetic and great atmosphere. Got the chai iced and preferred it sweeter and hot, and they willingly remade it for me! Definitely suggest this place.
The atmosphere is great. A bit gimmicky. The coffee quality is slightly better than average Starbucks. Pastries are good and not too sweet
Service is friendly but I was a little dissatisfied with the taste of the drinks I tried.
I tried 3 different coffee drinks and all of them were sugary, bland and tasteless.
I had high expectations because for years I was told to try Phil’z. Unfortunately it’s not a place for me but it’s great that they have a wide variety of specialty drinks and friendly service for those who are regulars.
It was my sister and I’s first time and we were a bit confused by the menu (asked for espresso, caramel flavored drinks) and the amazing barista offered to go over the menu which was extremely effective and helpful. So shoutout to the doll for helping out. Also, great drinks!
Great place for coffee and a silent enough place to work online.chacolate croissant was just okay. Overall it looked like a nice place for coffee and a quick bite + if you want to catch up on calls or check mails.
I like the place.they've got some great coffee, and the staff are always polite and cheerful!
Great staff! Good. Coffee! I forgot to mention I wanted non-dairy and remembered it last second as they were finishing it and they remade it no problem!
The coffee is tasty, very smooth and flavorful. Only a few sips and I can already feel the effects of the caffeine!
This was my first time visiting. All my classmates kept raving about this place for months, so I decided to make the 20 min drive solely to try this place and try the mint mojito like they suggested. Since, at this point, I was so convinced it would be good I ordered a larger size than I normally would (at over $6). But I was really disappointed. I didn't taste any mint flavor at all. I figured this was just the way the drink was supposed to taste and let it go, but decided not to come back in the future since it wasn't what I wanted/expected. After relaying this info to my classmates, they assured me that it should've been VERY minty. Someone even said that sometimes the first batch isn't made right and you have to ask them to make it again to get it right. So now I'm extra disappointed I potentially missed out on enjoying my drink, didn't know this tip, and that you have to expect to have your drink remade.
