Philz Coffee reviews
24They definitely practiced social distancing. The inside seating was unavailable and there were limited customers in line. Felt totally safe during Covid. Not many drink or food options available-were there more before? Ordered the hot chocolate & wasn't sure what to expect. Next time, I'll ask for some more creamer or something to sweeten it up a bit bc it was pretty bitter.
Love the coffees here. Easily the best coffee I’ve had. Nothing compares to Philz on the east coast.
Phillz used to be a small awesome coffee shop that was different than say Starbucks.now its just another corporate facade. Its like walking into your local mom and pop shop and finding out it's now a target. Coffee is still coffee.pastries are still pastries. But no reason to go there vs any other corporate shop.
The dark roasts are real dark. Julia's ultimate has that rich creamy taste, if I remember the name right. This coffee has the air of being finely aged. I got a burrito, and the item I received did indeed fit the definition of a burrito. No complaints.
Best coffee in the Bay area there's nothing much to add. The place however is always full of people but that doesn't stop the baristas from being extra nice to every customer. Of you haven't you need to get the mojito coffee.
My friend recommends me about this coffee shop in SFO, especially the mint mojito! It tasted really good and I will try other options next time when I fly back here again!
Smooth, creamy coffee; it is so good! I love the mint mojito, philtered soul, tesora, gingersnap, and rose! Too many good options. I've have a terrific bite of a pumpkin mochi bread before that I can't stop thinking about.
Cool coffee shop with the friendliest staff. The coffee is tasty too. Great place to study and get work done
Nicest people in the whole city! And the coffee is of course great with a good variety of roasts for pour overs.
A little confusing at first, unlike most coffee shops, you order directly with the barista then pay at the register after getting your drink. Great coffee options, I believe they only have pour over options, no espresso drinks.
Drinks can take a while when busy.
I love that they freshly brew their coffee and also I love the variety of coffee beans there. Hipster, WiFi and restroom access. Nice coffee shop overall.
My favorite coffee shop in the Bay area bar none. The Mocha Tessora and New Manhattan will knock your socks off. Also get a vegan Pebbles donut if they have any left. (Trust me and it's more like a cake donut)
Really great venue close to downtown Palo Alto. Their restroom is around back in a lobby. The barista will make the coffee and let you try it to make sure it's right before you leave
Love my Philz Coffee. Every time I come here I always get an awesome cup of coffee ️. The service is always great and make sure that I sip and completely satisfied. I love the environment and it’s very easy to work here with having WiFi access. I try to always go to locations I haven’t been into just to try out the different food. I do miss Philz’s on Virgin America flights.
Note: my favorites are always Estatic, Mint Mohito and Philz’s Ice Tea.
Our favorite, go-to place for coffee every weekend! Super friendly service, and they always oblige to adjust the taste. Their snacks/ meals are great too for a quick bite.
Great place to go and study for hours at a time. Lots of people study there so it helps you get in the mode. They have two large study tables and lots of bar type seating next to the window. I have the Philz iced tea every time as I cant handle caffeine. Philz iced tea is very tasty with lots of real mint. I get it with 0 sugar
Came here while visiting a friend, the staff were really nice and patient with me. After all my confusion, they gave me a great cup of coffee!
Lots of students and tech workers come here to work. The service and quality is consistently good.
Don't come here on a time crunch. I think it's a combination of the ordering process, the small waiting area and its popularity that boosts the wait time. I like to go after lunch around 1-2 pm. Everyone's obsessed with the mint mojito, and it's definitely good, but I recommend the ginger snap above all. The ecstatic is great too if you're in the mood for a standard iced coffee.
