Pho Anh Dao reviews
7 I am honestly shocked at the portion sizes. I got a dozen small string beans in way too much sauce in a tiny container, and an "extra large" pho gai that barely had anything going on, and it was in no way an extra large. Just dry white meat slices and a little bag of bean sprouts, and a bit of cilantro. None of the good stuff and not a lot of it.
Over 23 dollars plus tip for something that was supposed to feed two people. I don't know what was extra large about it. I barely had anything in it
Maybe because it was the end of the night? Either way I can't leave a good review. This wasn't worth what I paid for it despite the broth flavor being good
I've been to other locations of this pho restaurant, but this one in Alameda has the best customer service. As soon as my friend and I came in, the staff approached us right away and led us to the table of our choice. Service is fast as well.
We got an order of the shrimp and pork as well as the veggie tofu spring rolls. They come with lots of peanut sauce which I love. We also got an order of the basil wings for appetizers. All of it was yummy. For our main meal, we both ordered 15. Tai - the eye of round steak Pho. I got a small my husband got a large. The veggies to add are delicious and fresh. Menus are accessible via QR code which was a little tricky for us. We really enjoyed our meal and will be back.
It worth noting the dinning area is split between Pho Anh Dao and Bucket O'Crawfish which is kind of interesting. We may try that menu as well.
Pho Ann Đạo is the best place in Alameda to get pho, when we came to visit Alameda for 2 weeks we ate there 6 times as well as tried 3 other pho places in the area. The broth is rich and flavorful. The service is amazing and we never had a bad experience while we were there. One thing I do want to mention id that they add a lot more noodles that the average person would eat. I ordered the pho tai and it was great. If we come back to Alameda we will 10000% be coming back to this place.
Pretty good food and really great price though it lacks with the portions
Ordered vegetarian pho. The prices looked decent until the dishes arrived and we started eating. The (large size) pho had a salt quantity for my entire next week. There were rarely any vegetables in there and 3 pieces of tofu for the entire pho. We regretted giving 20% tip for a take out order with such abysmal quality.
It looks like a classic case of pre-pandemic vs post-pandemic food quality changes - can't confirm as this was my first order here. We went there due to the high ratings on Google. Unlikely to go again.
