Pho Hoa Noodle Soup El Camino Real reviews
19First time here, unfortunately it wasn't a great a experience. We weren't greeted and one of the girls had a bad attitude looked like she didn't want to work there, and seemed obligated to have us seated. Me and my girlfriend didn't like the pho either. I ordered the chicken pho and the broth had no chicken flavoring, it mostly tasted like spicy cinnamon. I've been too many pho restraunts that have delicious broth, but this isnt one of them sadly.
We ate lunch here at a table outsid. The woman said we had to order at the counter first before sitting down. I thought this was a little strange since the tables inside were full service.
We ordered two vermicelli bowls a Grilled Shrimp (sans pork) and a Grilled Pork and Fried Roll plus 2 Original Thai Milk Teas.
Neither of the vermicelli bowls were good. Both the pork and shrimp were very dry like they were cooked several days beforehand and the shrimp was cold.
The Thai tea was good. I would go back for the tea only.
This is by far the worst Pho Hoa in the area.
1. - The staff is rude and if you deviate in the slightest from their predefined script, they won't understand you. I feel like there's a very strong language barrier sometimes. E.g. If you try to order extra broth (paid, which is an option on their screen), good luck, I mean it, good luck.
2. - The cashier at the moment did not know how to check me out with a Pho Hoa gift card. I had already used the same gift in the same location, with an older lady checking me out. The younger cashier did not know what to do with the gift card, wasted 5 minutes of my time while building up a huge line, and rudely told me it didn't work. Like.you serious?
If you want both a decent bowl of pho and great, flawless customer service, go to the Pho Hoa Mercado, north from this location.
The Pho was ok. The beef was longer, bigger, slightly "fattier". Which was not appetizing to me. The white chicken pho was ok too. Not enough flavor in my opinion. The chicken rice bowl was hot and fresh, not enough rice.but good.
Outstanding food! We eat there at least once each time we come to CA. Just wish we had one near us in NV.
I ordered the Avocado Overload. Avocado overload? More like ice overload. Too much ice taste watery. Can barely taste the avocado.
Food is ok, tea is ok (flavor in the regular milk tea was a bit strange compared to the same order I've gotten at another location), order wait was 20 minutes longer than told originally. The pho hoa at the mercado is much better.
Really good food and awesome customer service and if you get a chance to go, try there fresh smoothies with no boba
The food was good but the people on the register were not friendly at all. The lady threw my change in hand but missed my hand. Will not visit again!
The pho here is really delicious and beyond my expectations. The soup is rich, and the beef is tender and delicious. Thr basil, bean sprouts and lime are fresh. Couldn't believe the food is actually delivered from a chain restaurant. The Jazan tea is also very good. Highly recommended.
My order was to go (avocado rolls). The waiting time was short, the rolls very tasty, you can tell that the rolls were made as soon as I ordered them (nothing pre-made), the ingredients super fresh and is the first place that gives you enough peanut sauce for the amount of rolls.
Also de staff is really friendly and the place is clean. I will definitely go back
They had us all confused made no sense! So basically I ended up with chicken and noodles with no vegetables: - (I would never go back and neither will the friend I brought with me.
The food was so so.not seasoned properly.it could be due to a lot of orders the time I arrived.also they did not allow me to take a kids portion to go. I had to buy a full meal for my kid.the lychee tea was bad.felt like the canned lychee syrup.
+2 stars for the awesome selection of bubble tea and other drinks. -3 stars for the horrible customer service. It's like they don't want our business. Note, the same woman (Lai T) was super nice to the table next to us. Bizarre. We would've tipped well, too.
Not bad for pho in santa clara. Of course not as good as other places in San jose, but probably one of the better ones in santa clara.
I had Pho #2. It was very good. The beef were juicy and the broth was flavorful. I would definitely come back.
So here we are again, ordered our favorite beef noodle soup. We want to share so we ordered a large bowl plus additional noodles!
I'm a regular customer I ask always for extra plate of sprouts, jalapeño and basil, is the first time that the old lady (wiht glasses 10: 40am 5/14) denied me an extra plate (I would pay for that) I will never come back.she is so rue. I got up and left the pho serve on the table.bad service.
Ordered a delivery of Hot-N-Sour Seafood, which I didn't enjoy very much - and also hadn't got much seafood in it.
