I try not to write reviews I think might affect businesses in any negative way, but I tried to give this restaurant three chances before I finally decided to write my review.

First time I visited, it was many years ago, almost 4 years ago. My order came out wrong and it was tasteless. But it was my first time and I thought it might’ve been just a mistake that they mixed my order and did not get it right. It was simply a veggie pho, however, they gave me meat pho broth with vegetables.

**Vegetarian should mean only vegetarian, no meat, no animals broth and no meat. Just vegetarian! **

I never went back because I did not like to spend money on bad quality food and at a place that doesn’t not honor customer food requests. When I go dining out I would like to enjoy my meal safely because I am taking a break.

After I got married, my husband tried to convince me that it was a good place because he had never had any issues. But at the same time he only orders the same dish.

I decided to go with him, and after we ordered, our drinks this time never made it to the table. I was not so impressed by the customer service, but I thought maybe they are very busy and it was an honest mistake. Our orders were okay, I was very scared to order anything so I just got the fresh spring rolls because I can at least see what’s in it. He got the usual order yellow shrimp curry. Because he is a pescatarian. No meat.

Yesterday, a friend of ours invited us to go for pho. I was apprehensive about it but I thought it would be nice to have something warm like pho since it was a cold no night.

I’ll start with the service:
We waited 20 minutes and no one came to take our order. I had to flag them down to get our order. The person who took our order did not take any notes.

We orders two drinks, vegetarian egg rolls, one vegetarian yellow curry, one shrimp yellow curry, and one seafood (only shrimp) noodle special.

One drink made it to the table, I got completely different order, the egg rolls were chicken egg rolls and they were ice cold, and we got chicken yellow curry. So the only thing that was right it was the veggie yellow curry. Everything else is a complete different order.

We sent back the chicken curry to get a fresh shrimp yellow curry, and the egg rolls as well to get vegetarian cooked properly.

It almost terrified me to find out they send back the yellow curry with chicken pieces and same broth with some shrimp. I send it back and I said we do not want it and we want it to be removed from our orders.

They bring back a third bowl of shrimp curry and this time they swear it’s fresh! I told them I do not want it and they need to remove it from our orders.

We decided to share our orders and just call it a night.

The nightmare continues. We found out the seafood special rice noodle pho had beef broth instead of just seafood broth.

We were horrified by the entire experience.

This was extremely disappointing and honestly scary.

If you can, avoid for your sanity sake and to safe your money!

What a great place! The meatball soup was delicious and just what I needed on a cold and blustery day!

Picked up a phone order placed for a family celebratory dinner. The food and service were very good. Everyone was pleased with their selections.

This was an awesome spot for lunch. The prices were surprisingly reasonable for the touristy part of town and the portions were huge! Super tasty food and Thai tea. I would definitely recommend stopping here if you're in the mood for something besides sea food and diner food.

Lunch at 1: 30 on a Friday: the chicken had been sitting on the grill for a couple hours and was dark, dry and inedible. I politely complained to the waiter and there was no sorry, no offer of a reduction of the payment and I won't go back.

I asked locals for where to eat.they suggested this place and said it was okay since it was the Viet/Thai place around.
Service was good, food was okay for the area. It wasn't up to par with what I am used to at other Vietnamese or Thai restaurants. The one high light was the Lemongrass Chicken - that's probably the best I've had - moist and I could taste the lemongrass. The locals like it and that's all the matters.

Pho Hoang is my favorite Vietnamese restaurant on the North Coast. The staff is amazing and hardworking. The food is excellent and prices are affordable.

When I'm not feeling well, P8 Pho is my magical cure! When it's cold out, a warm bowl of curry will heat you right up. The A1 crispy eggrolls remind me of SoCal Vietnamese food.

I probably should admit this, but I eat here at least 20 times a year.

Great food in a cozy place. Service was friendly and fast. Great pho, spring rolls an amazing unexpected yellow curry!

Hands down my favorite Pho restaurant around. My favorite is the chicken curry soup. Some of the best damned soul food I've ever eaten! My kiddo usually gets the pad thai. Everyone knows us there so they know exactly what we want to order (unless we switch it up). Always very kind and inviting. THANK YOU PHO HOANG! WE LOVE YALL!

This place has THE BEST peanut sauce. It is SO good. I highly highly recommend their spring rolls, noodles, or pho. All of their ingredients taste so fresh and delicious. They give you lemon water and some napkins by default, which is really nice. Not all the servers' English skills are perfect, but they are kind, patient, tolerant, and do a wonderful job. The decorations and appearance of the place is very lackluster, confusing, and very random and mismatching.
But don't let appearances fool you because they serve delicious food!

Disappointed this time. Usually my go to place for pho. We wanted some pho and I knew right where to go. Service was spotty for the first time ever. The fresh garnish/veggies were dried out like they’d been sitting out for days. No limes. The broth had almost no flavor. Ended up just leaving when I found a long black hair in my food. Drinks were good though!

Pho Hoang is a great place to eat. Excellent food and stellar service by the staff. Prices are very reasonable and a great variety on the menu.

I have eaten here many times over the past several years. One of my favorite things on the menu is the Papya Salad. Everything I have ordered has been a meal worth having agian, but with so many delicious meals, it is hard not to order something new every time I go.

Drove all the way from Eureka with a simple order of Pho to go. I was really looking forward to this meal for two days cuz the place in Eureka closed down.
Got my order and drove all the way back to Eureka (in the snow) only to discover that my pho only came with meat, noodles, and cilantro stems. ZERO sprouts, jalapenos, or sauce, despite what the menu claims.
I didn't like this place 5 years ago. Gave it another try and here we are. Way to perpetuate the bad customer service in Humboldt!
