9 Soup and pho lover delight
Solid place. Situated on Garvey in El Monte this place lives up to the standards and high quality of other Vietnamese diners in the area. Large space, plenty of seating.
Best pho place in the San Gabriel Valley! My family and I have been going here for years! Great service, family oriented, and the food is delicious and authentic!
Last night was the first time we went to this restaurant. But It is obviously not the last time. We had great time with the efficient service, with the first-rate meal and booze and with the modest cost. We will surely go back there again.
Good. Phone system is wonky. Better to go in person and order. Orders taken at back entrance only due to Covid. Park at rear parking lot. Menu attached. On-site dine-in (~4 tables under individual tents in rear parking lot) available beginning 8/3/2020.
We were really disappointed! The noodles were too thin and the broth was not flavorful. And they gave us lemons instead of limes. And way too much meat. We’ve spent some time in Vietnam and were really hoping this was “northern style” as claimed - and it wasn’t authentic, at all: (
Why am I giving this place two stars? The place has gone downhill since I was last here. Note, I'm the person to order the Pho Dat Biet at every pho restaurant, because it's usually the default special dish (hence the name). But I found this place to be on the "Why even bother coming here" short list.
The large size had more noodles, and the noodles were stuck together, meaning they didn't even bother to dunk it cold water or oil it up before putting broth in. The broth is as bland as drinking regular water. The quantity of meat was maybe a half portion size than other places. The worst of it all was the toppings. One dish for two people.
Service was meh, even though there were five servers for a not even packed place. I say meh because the person who served us gave me a slight attitude. The only saving grace was the speed of when we order to when we got our food.
Broth.bland. Sorry excuse of a soup. Just a waste of time and money. I will just eat a cup o noodle next time, has more flavor. A waste of a family meal.
The soup is awesome especially if you have a head cold it will clear it right up nice piping hot soups I recommend it
