This place changed my life.
Not an overstatement.

I was at a crossroads, and this team met me there.
They walked with me and guided me at every step with the medical, therapeutic and psychological tools that I needed to rewire and reprogram my mind and behavior for long-lasting health. I now have the foundation and the tools to rebuild.

The Place - beautiful spot in the desert. Safe and comfortable environment to heal and build.

The Team - loving, caring and extremely well versed in their holistic approach and Methodology for mental, physical and spiritual healing.

If you need some help navigating addiction and mental health, I would HIGHLY recommend Phoenix Rising.

I originally went to Phoenix Rising for a seven day detox. I stayed for the full 30 days, because of the inspiration; knowledge and care they provided. I stayed because I cared enough about my sobriety to learn what they had to offer. I walked out of this facility with a tool belt of coping skills, with a brand new mindset of how to tackle my addiction and with a support system that I know will be by my side as I take these next steps into my life. The counselors I had were there for me at every turn and consistently challenged me to look deeper into my recovery. The therapists helped me analyze how to deal with my problems. The techs made us feel at home and helped us enjoy our time there. Monday-Friday we had groups throughout the day led by various staff members, and every single person had something important and valuable to contribute. Saturdays and Sundays we got to go offsite and enjoy various activities, like hiking, bowling, escape room, swimming, just to name a few. Everyday we learned something new to help our ecovery and help ourselves. The fellow clients I was with put in a group effort to support each other, and I made lifelong friends who are going to stay in touch and check in to keep each other sober. I am beyond grateful that I stayed at Phoenix Rising and completed their program. If you’re looking for a rehabilitation facility, no matter what part of the country you live in, I can guarantee you won’t find anything better. Special shoutouts to Mike, Donny, Margo, Minnie, Paul, Chris, Diante, Ed, Karl, Tara, Michelle, Karen, and honestly every staff member. Donny has been calling me and checking on me since I’ve left, which goes to show that they truly are invested in the success and well-being of their clients, even after we leave. I know I have permanent resources and friends that will always have my back. This is a pretty long review and I could say a million more things as to the professionalism, care and power that Phoenix Rising holds. I’ve risen from the ashes and I’m ready to tackle life and ENJOY life sober. Thank you Phoenix Rising for everything you’ve done and continue to do for me!

I came in here broken, homeless and scared. I wanted to leave going through an intense detox and am so grateful I stuck around. I am 9 months clean and feeling great. This place cares and that is what stuck out the most to me. Can't Express enough gratitude for Phoenix rising believing in me.

Starting my recovery journey with Phoenix Rising Recovery has been one of the greater pleasures of my life. As a veteran of the Armed Forces, PRR has been more than willing to go out of their way to work with me and the VA to ensure I receive the best care possible and made my recovery feel like their top priority. I implore any fellow veteran searching for help to give Phoenix Rising a call, they have my highest recommendation!

Left this place today (7/6/22). Had a different experience here than at other places previously. Day after I arrived my insurance canceled me and wouldn't let me pay to have it back. (Reason unknown*DON'T GET A HEALTH NET HMO!) They let me stay and finish an 8 day detox. Stopped taking the drugs. I went to a place where I did backflips off a Highdive, Gym, and a BBQ. Great staff. THEY ALLOW DOGS. BEST PART. Margo was a woman of her word

Phoenix rising was the worst experience of my life. Not only did they kick me out for being high and having a long detox. But they lost my ID and did not accept responsibility for it whatsoever. They also kept my floor length mirror. Instead of helping an addict to make my life easier, they made my life more difficult because I am homeless and do not have the money to get another ID. They made my life more stressful in the long run. If you want a place that closely monitors your belongings and does not lose any of it I do not recommend this place.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. It’s in the middle of nowhere but that’s a good quality. Coming from Texas and surviving skid row, I had little hope for myself and my future. I came in literally with NOTHING. Not only did they help with hygenie and clothes they went out their way to make sure all my needs were met. Of course there’s flaw but their minimal. I’ve been to 30+ rehabs nationwide and hands down this is the best one. Besides the low client census (-20) which allows you to truly feel like family the staff always makes themselves available often working overtime just to make sure everything is taken care of. Truly the meaning of above and beyond. I was nothing to believe in but they did and for the first time in YEARS. I feel hope and like I have a choice. Shoutout to the best techs Dalton, Devin, Paul, Laura, Tara and Michelle. The best chef Jazz. Assistant Clincial director Margo. Program director Amy who even though I gave her so much attitude and push she seen me through to the end and ALWAYS ALWAYS COMES THROUGH WHEN SHE GIVES HER WORD. Same is true for Margo. Ilene my counselor was nothing short of understanding fexilbe and compassionate. She validated, confronted and comforted me. I knew when she challenged me it came from love and her ability to see my potential. Ed was a firm, quiet, thought provoking constant. Mike realness and transparency made him respectful and relatable (honestly all staff are) this place will guide u and carry you but they do expect after detox for you to put in the work and move forward. I’m so grateful their sister facility was full and I came here. Best place ever! I will love and miss y’all forever! Jazz

This place truly helped me get on the path of recovery!
Going through detox, was something I couldn’t do alone and when I reached out and they let me come I hoped I’d make it through alive.
Which once I got settled In I knew this was the right place to be during that time.
The staff are incredible and I truly felt love and kindness, from them in some of my sickest moments.
I have already recommended this place to someone and I’ve barely left 12hrs ago! & I will keep recommending them when someone needs help.

Thank you everyone at Phoenix Rising!

I came to this facility, fresh out of jail with a bad concussion and a busted lip. Not to mention a nasty case of alcoholism. I had been to several treatment centers in the past and expected this one to be the same. Thank god that wasn’t the case. I just left today with a new perspective on not only my life but the world as a whole. I was taken aback by the patience, love, professionalism and individualized care I received by the staff and clinical team. Today I start my new lease on life.not only sober but filled with Hope for my future. That’s not something I’ve had since I started drinking at the age of 12. I’m 25. I’m excited to be the son my family deserves and eventually start a family of my own. I’ll forever be grateful for my family at Phoenix Rising!?

This is THE place to go for you or your loved one struggling with substance abuse. I fought tooth and nail to not come here… but it turned out to be the greatest turning point of my life. The staff is amazing and I truly believe Phoenix Rising Recovery should be the model for rehab treatment venues all around the world. The key for me was the wide variety of people and approaches to recovery offered. It’s all there for the taking if you are ready and willing to participate in your recovery process. Personally, if it had been the type of place that offered only one point of view with a “My way or the Highway” type of attitude, I would have walked out on day two. But I stayed a full thirty days, and like so many of the people who were there going through the program with me, I would have gladly stayed longer! The Staff at Phoenix Rising Recovery helped me and guided me in taking time out from my hectic life, to look at why I started abusing substances and why I continued to do so even long after it was no longer any fun for me, my family, my friends, and people around me in general. Phoenix Rising showed me new coping skills from psychological, spiritual, practical, and simply humanistic perspectives that I had never even considered. And they didn’t force feed the concepts… they simply presented a wide spectrum of concepts for consideration and allowed me to discover what worked for me. Besides one-on-one counseling and therapy sessions, they also kept us very busy with all kinds of group activities and outings, so we could experience how much fun we can have without having to get drunk or stoned! I tell you in all sincerity, I feel that I am finally the man I always wanted to be… fun, wise, confident, loving, compassionate, creative, strong, and happy. My wife, parents, family, and friends are loving having the real me around… finally! Thank you forever Phoenix Rising Recovery!

P. S. - All the staff at PRR are Superstars; each with their own unique skills, talents, backgrounds, and personalities. I want to pause to give profound recognition, respect, love, and eternal thanks to my one-on-one Counselor Margo and my one-on-one therapist Ed. Margo showed me it’s Okay to approach the world with all the love and energy that is brimming from my heart and soul, and that people would like me all that much more for it. Ed helped me to stop and look at my life… past to present… and showed me new coping skills to apply, rather than anger and substances. He encouraged me to be intelligent and creative in a fresh, healthy way. I also want to give a Mega-Super Extra Special thanks to these wonderful Staff/Phoenix Rising Family members who have impacted my life so profoundly. I could easily write many glowing paragraphs about each of these wonderful humans… but I want you to get to picking up your phone and making the call you owe it to yourself to make… so here’s the list.: Amy, Johnny, Carl, Devon, Chris, Jessica, Deborah, Eileen, Michelle, Tracy, Linda, Roshanna, Jass, Allison, Robert, Brian, Jim, Veronica, Mindy, Aaron, Karen, Teddy, Laura, Feather, Renata, and Mark. I hope you or your loved one gets to meet and work with these amazing people. And I sure as hell hope I didn’t forget anyone! Love you all Endlessly!

Five stars is not enough for Phoenix Rising! They should have ten stars! I punched and screamed to go inpatient. I was only going to stay for detox which is 7-8 days. And the love and compassion all there employees have I decided to stay an extra 3 weeks. There group sessions are amazing. Individual sessions are awesome! By the end of my treatment I didn’t want to leave. I felt at home with everyone. I grew as a person. We became a family. Phoenix makes you feel like no matter what your important! They take the time to care.

Phoenix Rising saved my life. After being a substance abuse counselor for the last 3 years and relapsing I found myself at a physical and emotional bottom. The thought of going to groups I once ran was mind numbing and I questioned if I would learn anything valuable. Damn, was I wrong! The groups were great and had a wide variety of topics. I could go into detail about the program schedule and activities (which were great) but what sets this place apart from other centers is the staff. From the owner to the techs, Phoenix Rising makes you apart of the family. It has a sense of community and love and belonging that most of us have forgotten or lost in our addiction. The staff truly cares about their clients. In an industry where there are so many poor centers it’s a breath of fresh air to know their are great ones still around. The friendships and connections I’ve made will last a lifetime and I am forever grateful.

I had a great experience here. Treated with care and respect by the entire staff. The only bad part about my experience was detox and that was due to my own choice of being a heavy fentanyl user. This is a place you can go to get sober, This is a place you to find support, to find friends, and most importantly yourself. The facility is clean. The staff care. I even was able to form a strong bond and connection to each and every client there. I would recommend this place to anyone truly seeking long term sobriety. I would like to give a special Thanks to my counselor Donny. Not only will he keep you laughing but engaged and accountable. I would also like to thank the nurses Mindy and Christina for doing a outstanding job getting my medical needs met. The techs Devin, Art, Chris, Jonas, Joe all keep the place fun and they do the best to address every situation with a positive attitude. Also special thanks to Johnny, Amy, Izzy, and Margot. All of you guys made my experience a good one I will forever be grateful for your care. Love this place. 5 stars.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for showing me how to live again! I highly recommend Phoenix and their staff if you or a loved one are struggling with addiction. Phoenix Rising provides me with the love and tools I required to maintain a healthy, clean and sober lifestyle.

Being an older woman who relapsed after years of recovery and finding it difficult to reach out and enter any treatment facility, I felt safe and respected during my entire stay.

My treatment plan was tailored and followed up on for me to succeed in life.

The Chef provides daily hearty, healthy and large portion meals.

The staffs teamwork is impeccable.

In addition, I’ve acquired up to 50 extended family members for life.

I look forward to visiting often to share my experience, strength and hope.

If you find yourself in need of help for addiction and mental disorders, please contact this wonderful and professional
group of loving (from all walks of life) facility.

Love,
Kathryn G.
