Picante's Authentic Mexican Fd

Picantes is my go to place when I'm craving taquitos de papa I'm actually vegan, so I order them with no cheese, sour cream or beans. But the lettuce, guacamole, and salsa is all I need! They have great service & the cook always accommodates my requests. They pretty much treat us like family

. The molcajete ranchero is for sure our #1, the chilaquiles (red or green) always hit the spot, their corn quesadillas are huge & very good *mushrooms & chicharrón are my favorite*. Their mojarra frita, shrimp empanada & even a regular tostada de ceviche is good here

I found a good dish which was very reasonably priced for a combo plate. Two fish tacos with rice and beans for 10 bucks. That's a deal considering today's economy.

So far I've only tried their breakfast, which is really good. Service is very friendly and it's very cozy inside.

Came in because they food smelled so good from the parking lot and they were so welcoming and friendly, sat us down and attended to us right away. You could smell everything was freshly made. I was in the mood for Chilè con Carne and although it was not in the menu they were able to make it happen. So glad they did because it was absolutely delicious! The place filled up quick and soon orders were in and out swiftly with friendly customers and usuals all expressing how great the food and service was. Personally loved everything but the rice but the pork rib meat was so tender and full of flavor, the green sauce was a great pair with the pork and the beans were as authentic as they come.

The food was great. I was about 45 minutes away at another place and super hungry but still decided to go there because I wanted a molcajete and the wait was well worth it. Really really good and my girlfriend got corn tortilla quesadilla which was also very good. Don't judge a book by its cover, this place is excellent
