Pick Up Stix Fresh Asian Flavors reviews
16We go here every time we have a chance. The service is always fantastic and the food is consistently delicious. My favorite is the house special beef and kung pao chicken!
Is it just this particular place that burns the grilled chicken and veggies so the whole meal tastes charred? Or is it pick up stix in general?
The pride that the people that work here take in making and preparing the food is obvious, so we’ll presented too!
I ordered won ton soup, and got dumplings soup. Chow mein is small in portion compared to real Chinese restaurants.
Food tasted just fine. Ordered the House Chicken spicy and it was mild but eh, whatever. My complaint is: why the F are they the rice and entree just slapped in a bowl together? If I wanted fried rice covered in house sauce I would have ordered it that way. Instead I got soggy rice that only tasted like house sauce.
Who made the decision to stop packaging the items separately? Whoever it was made a bad choice.
This chain has really gone downhill. There's nothing wrong with the service, but while before covid it was definitely Americanized Chinese food, at least when you got your tangerine beef or whatever it would at least come with some veggies and spice and it would taste decent, so good enough. Now the pad thai is completely unrecognizeable (to be fair, that's Thai, not Chinese, but it's on the menu), and the rest of the food is just plain rice with nothing but breaded meat fried in sugar sauce. This isn't even as good as Rice King, which was the bottom of the barrel for Chinese food.
If you hate veggies and taste, this will be perfect. Otherwise just go to Lotus/Spices Thai or Mr. Chin's Chinese for much, much better Americanized Asian food.
They are really good only thing is they cut out there lunch specials and are a little more expensive than they us d to be.
The food was very good and freshly prepared, portions were right for the amount money I spent. (We went home with leftovers.) We did not wait to long for the food.
The food was just OK, maybe below average. We ordered a family pack for 2 adults and 1 child. Fried dumplings are flavorless. Two chicken dishes are to the sweet side, especially the teriyaki chicken was burned: (They added a bag of fortune cookies with sugar icing for free.
No waiting lines. There were only a few customers during lunch hour. Will probably not visit it again.
Just share my experience here @mira mesa pick up stix
before there fried rice is really good but now its not good anymore maybe different chef
i order house fried rice but when i taste it
it taste burn and you can see in the pic to the right side you can tell its burn
Co worker picked up lunch, came back and felt something poking me while I chewed and found this metal in my food. Contacted the corporate office.
Ordered the teriyaki salmon and I requested my vegetables be cooked soft because I have a hard time chewing them and even after asking two different employees to cook the vegetable soft including the cook when I got home and started eating the vegetables were almost raw barely cooked at all just very disappointing
We ordered devilary from their website while staying in a hotel about a mile and a half away. They were over priced for mediocre food. They didn't mention until after they charged my account that they used a 3rd party delivery service and our 57 dollar meal for 3 people ended up being charged from my account for almost 84 dollars! When I called to ask about it they wouldn't give me a strait answer.
Ordered an hour ago wonton soup is cold and the fried rice is cold and it takes 30mins to waiiiiittt. Not a good place to order your food.
Ordered tonight through Doordash and the restaurant never marked my order as ready. I was in the area and stopped by and it had been done and waiting to be picked up. I'm new to the area and have never been here before, so first impressions were not great. The staff did not turn around to help me when I walked in. Took them several minutes to ask what I wanted.
Regarding the food, it's just alright. It feels like an elevated Panda in terms of quality, but I'm not certain on the price value and portions. I can't tell if there is supposed to be enough food for 2 meals as it's an awkward portion for leftovers and I'm not really looking for leftovers anyway. Probably won't be back, wasn't really wowed by anything we ordered.
