PICO + UNION Lavandería, Los Angeles CA

Came to town for Adobe MAX 2023 and like always, I pack poorly so I had to do laundry. Hotels will charge you insane markups to wash just a few items so I looked elsewhere. This place was a pleasant surprise. Very clean, attendant lady was very helpful and nice despite our language barrier. Vending machine with different sized detergents takes card. $3.75 gets a bottle that can do several loads. Same price for a small washer. Dryers were $1/30min and took care of my load in one cycle. You can pay for the machines with coins (coin machine works) or you can use an app which is what I did and was super easy. I’m sure many would have something to say about the neighborhood but don’t be a jerk, not everyone has the same lifestyle and income and they just want to live a happy life. I didn’t feel unsafe at all.

Laundry was great today! Yesenia is amazing! She helped me find what i needed in the vending machines.

I loved the excellent service they provide. Miss Dominga, who was the person serving at that time, is extremely kind and friendly, she explained to me the price and size of the machines. He offered me WiFi service if I needed and explained that the bathroom has a code to open because it is only for customers. The machines were super clean. I saw her standing on a step disinfecting and cleaning the machines.if I could give them 50 stars I would! They deserve it, he told me that the owner also comes to work. He is a very good boss, and he likes to see that everything is very clean. I hope they don't change the service because it is excellent! Congratulations! Keep going!

I like the place, but I had seen that they let customers use the restroom, and I had asked, and they denied me. The man told me they don't have public restrooms, yet they let other customers use it. I don't know what the reason for that was. Rules should be Rules, and they should be upheld with everyone. I guess the only negative thing about this place is that they don't have public restrooms.

I live about 8 blocks from the Pico + Union Lavanderia. I have been seeking a clean laundry-mat for over 3 years. & the results of not finding one, I have just been hand washing my clothing items & hanging them to dry. That is until I found the Pico + Union Lavanderia. It is perfect for my needs. I like the fact that it is tucked away in a private corner. It is the nicest & cleanest laundry-mat, I have ever known about. I highly recommend it to all of my friends & family + more.

In a vibrant Hispanic neighborhood. Very close to the convention center. You can take a break from attending conferences and get your laundry and lunch done at the same time. The machines are fancy and need some time to figure out how to use. The lady was very helpful even with the English/Spanish language barrier.

I love this new laundry that has open not only near me but the workers are very nice and super clean. Yesenia was working while I went to wash and I was kinda confuse with the machines and coin dispenser.
She was nice enough to approach me and help me and went through all the process of it A+

Also told me about the program the laundry has I can pay cashless and help me with the application for it and got five dollars free YAY!

Clean, very friendly staff, good, working machines, several different brands of detergent available for purchase for a reasonable price, change machine up back to get coins.

Very clean, prices are reasonable and the staff (Dominga) was very helpful and approachable. She explained in detail how to go about using the laundry app. Worth using it gave me credit on my balance. Clothes came out great by the way.

I was staying at the nearby JW Marriott and, gobsmacked by their extortionate laundry prices, set out to find a local laundromat instead. A 15-minute walk led me here. The lavandería is tucked into a plaza on the corner of — what else — Pico + Union.

This place is awesome! It’s BRAND new, sparkling clean, and has a good array of 2-, 3-, 4-, and even 8-load washers. There are big folding tables and stools, plenty of rolling bins, and benches. There’s even a handwash sink!

Prices currently range from $3.25 for a 2-load wash to $9.25 for an 8-load wash. Dryer loads are $1. The machines are all beautiful brand-new Speed Queens. (I have the residential version at home — they’re awesome!)

Vending machines for soap coming soon! A small bottle of detergent will cost you $3 or a bit more, depending on brand.

The owner, Josh, is super nice and friendly. I also met his precious senior beagle lady, who was suspicious at first but so sweet!

In my opinion this is by far the nicest laundromat in the area. Everything is brand new and very clean. The machines take quarters and dollar coins. You can also pay with a phone app if you don’t have cash. They have washers in different sizes with no extra charge for hot water. I like the larger dryers. My clothes came out completely dry in 30 minutes without having to continually check and feed more quarters. Plenty of room to fold and comfortable places to sit while you wait, too.
