Pierside Kitchen & Bar, San Clemente CA

We have been here a few times as we live right up the hill. The first time service wasn't the best, although not everyone has perfect days. This time was very impressive.

We stopped in today and ordered the Perfect Stranger cocktail. It's so yummy and made with the most fresh ingredients. Natasha, our server, is very outgoing, kind, and contagious. She took time and made many recommendations. I'm so glad we listened to her. We will definitely be back.

Great place to sit and enjoy the beautiful weather and surroundings of San Clemente Beach. Right across from the ocean, you can not ask for a better location. The staff was great, fun and helpful. We tried the Tator tots with clam chowder because it sounded interesting.it was good but interesting. Will definitely come back for a drink or two and to soak in San Clemente Beach.

Great service with a view. Bloody Marys and oysters by the pier is a great way to waste a Saturday. Not to mention the bottomless memos as. The only thing that makes this place better than the view is the staff. Thanks, Natasha! #wishyouwerehere

We live locally and have been to Pierside many times, although not in the past year. We ordered the ceviche which in the past has always been excellent. However, this time what we got was some Pico de Gallo with one or two cooked shrimp cut up in it for $21. No hint of the lime juice that's supposed to be used to 'cook' the shrimp. This local for one won't be back.

Best fish and chips had in usa. The fish and chips was perfection. And the oysters was delicious. Friendly service and very tidy and lovely atmosphere. 5

Great location in San Clemente. Came with friends and we enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Will definitely come back again.

Ordered the waffles and chicken which was dry, gravy limited and just ok. Sent it back and got the fish and chips.the fries were not hot and the fish was not hot either and greasy. Probably would not go back.

I crashed in the hotel above the restaurant for a night and spent a couple hours at the restaurant & bar.

The food was good. It has an interesting and enjoyable menu with something for nearly everyone.

The staff was friendly and accommodating.

The views are stellar.

Traveling from Atlanta, GA and heard great music & stumbled into this gem. Amazing food & amazing staff! Mateo & Jose at the bar were fantastic. 10/10 would recommend.

It took 40 minutes to get a salad with grilled chicken. It was not busy - 5 tables with about 15 people (i had time to count). Perhaps they were understaffed. But they could have said that was the timing when i ordered. Instead I was told it would be 15. The salad was good when i finally got it, but not worth the time.

Though the views from this restaurant are sublime, the food, service, and atmosphere did not match accordingly. We could barely hear the waitress and each other due to the overly loud music and poor acoustics. Almost every item we ordered lacked a key ingredient advertised. The ponzu chicken, for example, was served without any ponzu sauce and was, as one would expect, very dry. It was very disappointing, especially after waiting over an hour for the food. I hope the staff can figure out how to maintain a functioning restaurant amidst a menu shift.

They were able to get us a table w/o a reservation. We got lucky, they were busy! Great place for breakfast / brunch. Staff super friendly! Look forward to a return visit.

Great little bistro with a local vibe. Found this a better spot for food and conversation than pier side. Sun, company, food, wine just right.

Excellent food! The focaccia grilled cheese with tomato bisque was fabulous! The brussel sprouts were very yummy and the brûlée cheesecake was perfect! Highly recommend! Atmosphere is very fun and the view of the pier and ocean is perfect!

Came here on a Saturday for a birthday brunch and we had such a pleasant time. The food and dessert was hands-down delicious and the cocktails were refreshing and great! Russell was our main server and his service was top-notch in a friendly, professional manner. All the staff we encountered was super courteous too - thank you guys for a wonderful dining experience here!

One of my absolute favorite places in San Clemente to enjoy the view and the pier. Service and staff were amazing and we will definitely be back again. Food was amazing and just the perfect spot to enjoy a beautiful sunny day in San Clemente. Robert the Manager went above and beyond to make our experience even better. Thank you.
