Pilot Travel Center, Boron CA

This is one of the most chaotic and distressing places I have ever been in my life. 2 year olds wandering the parking lot.truckers lurching about in the most unintelligible and aimless fashion.display tables loaded to the brim with cellophane bags of 30-count "fresh baked" (sure) cookies in the middle of the main thoroughfare/entry-walkway.bottles of perishables like juice and milk just sitting on top of end cap displays with no apparent reason other than they were left there at some indeterminate point in time.i get that this is just some podunk truck stop in the middle of the mojave desert, but jesus what a mess of an institution.staff seemed friendly enough, but generally stressed and overburdened by all the hectic traffic and just largely indifferent to the chaos.leaving this review mainly to remind myself to avoid a return visit.the shabby looking chevron mini mart across the street seemed 10,000X more relaxed and sane, in retrospect.

It's always packed here.but great customer service.clean and friendly.the only thing is only one washer avaliable

The employee Christie needs to work on her customer service skills. She is extremely rude and impatient with any customer that asks her a question. We are all traveling and tired we don’t need your nasty attitude on top of it.

It's a good place to stop as a truck driver, women's bathroom usually clean, never had a dirty shower, would give 4 Stars but mgmt needs to say something about the homeless and scammers

This Pilot Travel Center is fairly clean. It is well organized and stocked and the bathrooms are clean. My family and I rely on Pilot when we road trip. It is nice to have a clean, well lit place to stop, relax, get good food and stretch our legs. We really appreciate the fruit and fresh food options.

Shanae at the Cinnabon counter will make it worth stopping! She is a shining example of great customer service.

This review is not for the establishment itself. It is always very clean. This review is regarding their change in policy.

For the last several years my son and I have been dispersed camping in the area and I had a running agreement with the management on a topic that is important to me about camping. "Leave it Cleaner That You Found It". To that end, we would always clean up the area we were camping in and the surrounding area and I was given permission, after explaining this to the manager, to leave the trash in the back near the compactor.

This last time we not only cleaned up our area, but also found an area that it looked like people partied out in the desert and so we cleaned that up as well. When we got to the Travel Center I was told we could no longer do this. The person in charge, when I explained it to the front counter, would not even come see me when I asked.

I went to a couple of the other places nearby and was told no as well, so we hauled several bags of trash back to Bakersfield because of a manager that could not be bothered to honor an agreement to do the right thing. Something My son and I had been doing a couple times a year since 2017.

OK boys and girls check out the SCAM that this store has going on, when you login to the Prime Parking it will show you 3 to 4 reserve parking spots available out of eight then a few hours later you log back in and then it will show seven spots available out of eight, what’s wrong with that picture, use caution!

No gap! Not to the floor but a no gap in the bathroom is great. Also there's a Cinnabon here. I think it just closed tho.

I am 50 years old, and they won’t sell me cigarettes without an ID. I actually look older than may age. Idiots!
