Pioneer Park reviews
26 Lots of trees and shade, big grassy area, some picnic tables, a playground, and a bathroom (though sometimes dirty). Also great location for parties for toddlers. It can get crowded sometimes but we love this quirky little park.
Just beware of dog poop in the grass, as many dog owners do not pick up after their dogs.
Great local park for the community and lots of grass as well. Love the concerts in the park and supporting things like the jog-a-thon here!
Some really killer looking trees and super old gravestones make for an interesting trip. More of a place to just walk around a little bit and head out. Not really any benches or tables to hang out on.
We took small children for a picnic and, much to my surprise, the place we called, "The old Spanish graveyard" had been resurrected into a lovely little neighborhood park. (Fifty years ago, my friends and I would meet here after dark and pretend not to be scared. It was neglected in some areas, manicured in others. Both conditions elicited spooky stories.) We spent several hours there, listening to joy, children's laughter, peace and serenity, just blocks away from the hustle and bustle of the city. I was very glad to see how this park's previous purpose was honored. I highly recommend taking some quiet time at Pioneer Park. (Take a child or two so nobody wonders who this weirdo watching the kids is.)
Nice park with various spots for setting up a small To big picnic. Sufficient street side parking.
I love this old historic park that once was a cemetery. Rolling shady lawns, perfect for a picnic or throwing a frisbee.
