Pips On Labrea reviews
13If the the crowd is thin, staff will turn the music off and close early which sucked be since I arrived to birthday party at 11p thinking they would close at 2 a.m. They closed at 12.all dressed up for nothing
This is my first time here at pips. The food was excellent my mother and my sister-in-law celebrated their birthday there. Love the music. Great place.
One of the best venues in the neighborhood between the black and the white people in Los Angeles and great jazz great food and great venue
First time there last night and I loved it! Family, food, drinks, people and a live band w/Barbara Morrison was all so good! Total 5star experience. Looking forward to returning!
We visited Pips on LeBrea for the first time and was blown away by the cool ambiance and great food! The live music for the night was David Leech Quartet and they were awesome. This will definitely be our hang out spot! They even have a outside bar and deck for smoking cigars while listening to good jazz music. I highly recommend this spot. We are willing to drive from Santa Clarita just to hang out there on a regular.
Used to love this place. Had a few celebrations here pre covid through the years. The last few visits were poor experiences that the staff was very unapologetic for.
Took my parents here to celebrate my dads bday. My dad loves jazz so I figured it would be a good spot. He had a great time and my mom got litty off two strawberry margaritas. It was a success! Will definitely go back.
The lamb dish was amazing, and the ambiance was warm for our group of four. The owner is just as warm and accommodating to all patrons. The only drawback was there is no military discount on meals. Most of us disabled Veterans accept the discount and pass it to our waiter/waitress, as an addition to thier tip anyway. I'll still return with our party, just wish that would be implemented in policy moving forward.
Club itself is very nice, staff very friendly. However the DJ was really rude and not at all nice. I asked him to play a song. He replied this is my music and I play what I want.
Celebrated my sister's birthday and had a good time listening to the Jazz Band that's there every Thursday night. Good food and great service!
Vibes, vibes, vibes.great jazz band, good food pizza, calamari, wings, drinks and good people.ask for the outdoor sitting, it's LIT!
PIPS is great. The food
Is perfect
Entertainment extradinary, especially on Tuesdays featuring Barbara Morrison!
Didn't like the menu, the place doesn't have bread of any kind or coffee. Two must have staples for any restaurant. The pizza was only tortilla thin crust and soggy. They only had messy sticky finger foods. The menu was pathetic. The music was really not good either. It was generic sleepytime muzac style. Staff was great! They were friendly, bubbly, attentive and really tried to be accomadating. Over all it was really a disappointment though. Prices were fair.
