Pista House(Biriyani-Haleem-Kababs), Artesia CA

They are known for their Haleem and have not had it for 2 months. This is outrageous considering their restaurant’s name has “Haleem” in it.

One of the Best Indian food especially people from Hyderabad Telangana have a wide choice on their menu.

Very bad service and food. Quality and quantity is very poor. We order naan, samosa, Chicken biryani and goat curry. None of them were made fresh. They serve the store bought naan for which they charge $1.99. Total waste of money. I don’t recommend this place at all. One more thing this is the first place I saw serve you half of an egg.ridiculous

Very nice restaurant with tasty food. The food was served surprisingly quick for the crowd that was present.

Love their naatukodi biryani. Service and ambiance aren’t great but good enough to come just for the food.

For food I will give 5 star.specially try Nijam biryani that’s really good.but 2 star is for cleanliness of the rest rooms public toilets are more better than here.atleast people should be able to wash there hands so please keep it clean.and owners/ serving team arrogance towards the customer.please respect your customers…

Biryani here is hit or a miss. Some times it’s great and few times it’s bad. It really is up to ur luck. Recently last Sat we got a pick up, it was horrible. Yday Thu it’s very good. Thanks Rohita for making sure our biryanis were good yesterday. Service was quick and exceptional.

Today I ordered Goat biriyani. It was very good. A girl served me.she treated me very well. The service is also really great. Taste was really good.

WORST EXPERIENCE

How can people even support such place who serves food that is cooked somewhere else and served in the restaurant.

I understand Biryani Lovers like to go there coz of original Pista House in Hyderabad India. But seriously just because of that you have to eat here too.

Anything and everything we ordered didn’t have any taste.

We ordered:
Lamb Kebab: just by looking at it you could tell they microwaved then.

Chetinad Chicken curry: was ok. Not too bad not too good. But it was reheated too.

Chicken Lollipops: they were also premade and were just fried in hot oil just before serving

Bezawada Chicken Biriyani: this was the best thing in our whole order.

Garlic Naan: OMG… they pathetic. Frozen naans over heated and were tasing stale. We ordered 2 naans and I could not even have 1 bite.

ALL THE FOOD WE ORDERED WAS BASED ON THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE PERSON AT THE CASH COUNTER. So imagine, they best food was like this.

I would never go back to this place.

Ambiance: it was super cold in the restaurant.

They charge you more than the menu prices. Food is sub standard. Avoid. They are a fraud. Complain to consumer court.they fraud you by not letting you know of the new prices. How can you let customers Order without telling them the price? Total FRAUD

Self service, very tasty Biriyani. Public parking behind the building with 1hr free accommodation. The food is prepared fast and the Naan is freshly made. Very good.

The service was quite slow at their booth at Echo Park during the lotus festival. And their menu was not in English. Few understand what 'chat' 'malasa' were, for example. Everyone had to ask. And the food was bland, very expensive

We had Vegetable Briyani at Pista House yesterday. One of the best Briyani ever. Spoke to the owner of Pista House and he said they believe in making fresh and healthy food options. All their items are fresh and tasty.

The lady at the checkout register was very nice and friendly but she didn't have any cash at the register so i she asked if i have the exact cash amount to pay.
She told me the food is milde spice but it was extremely hot.
The chicken biryani did not have any chicken. I think I should change the name to Rice biryani.
Then yes it was extremely expensive.
I visited so many Pakistani Indian restaurants and I usually always pay between 8 and 12 for a really good chicken biryani.
It was 18 dollars at this place and no chicken!
I'm never coming back again

There is hardly any meat in the biryani. They cheat all their customers by loading tons of spicy rice, not meat at all and charge fully. I would NOT recommend this place.

Briyani was fresh. But two more chicken dishes I ordered tasted like from the freezer. If you sell fresh food, you will get more customers. Otherwise your restaurant will disappear soon. We don't need to come to your restaurant to eat food warmed up from the freezer. You cannot fool the customers.

This review is based on service. I haven’t even tasted their food. I placed one order of Haleem at 6: 45PM and was planning to pickup at 7: 30PM. This gives them
whole 45 minutes to ready my order. I reach there at 7: 30PM and had to wait 5minutes for someone to come out of kitchen and attend me. The person finally comes out and tells me that they never received the order. As I was in a hurry I didn’t get a chance to wait and pick up. Confirm 10 times before picking up the order
