Placer County Museum reviews
9Seeing that I was there behind a sheer evil woman, whom is no truth in her. I wouldn't say I was there to site-see. I was there for court, and my God, The Messiah Ya'ha'wha'shi (Yeshua) came through as he can never fail
Beautiful architecture and location! Would love to have spent more time here. Definitely recommend!
Very informative guide, we learned the history of the Auburn jail, complete with the "women's jail" outside, and UNDER THE CEMENT STAIRS! We had a great time, this a fun, free activity to do in Auburn.
Pretty cool place to check out. We were in Auburn for my son's birthday, to check places out. The museum was a cool surprise in this beautiful town. It was cool to see the jail cell, old electronics that changed the advancement of human kind for the better. Old phones. Old medical supplies, and farming tech. A real cool place to check
The first floor is a museum the second floor is an active Courthouse there were some interesting artifacts if you're in the neighborhood it doesn't hurt to take a look
Very interesting series of displays and artifacts. The video would have been more intelligible if it had closed- captioning. Quite surprised it didn't comply with the ADA. Nice visit for 30-45 minutes.
Small museum with interesting local artifacts. The beautiful Courthouse bldg is the main attraction!
The museum is located inside a working court house, past the medal detectors, so we were a bit confused about where the entrance was.
The courthouse looked far more impressive on the pictures. In real life, it looked very modern.
The museum itself wasn't anything special. It's no different from other museums in the region, but at least it's free, so was good to kill time.
Auburn's Old Town in general isn't super impressive or exciting. Again, it looked so cool in the pictures, but in real life, it's literally only two short streets with a handful of old buildings, most of which have been converted into businesses.
I guess it's okay, if you live nearby or are exploring other stuff in the area, but I certainly wouldn't make a special trip here.
I found the museum to be a very wonderful and lucky way to spend time while waiting for an appointment. The exhibits were very professional and well together. Towards the end was a wonderful film that was very entertaining to watch.
Their museum covered such locally, relevant topics, such as growth of technology, the railroad, and the transportation of goods.
