I am still fairly new to Auburn, and was surprised when I was requested for the Placer County, Auburn Jury Duty this year, so when I looked online for photos of the exterior and interior of the courthouse, and parking facility, I was disheartened to view the building’s outside entrance flight of stairs due to my physical handicap to climb stairs, but my sister assured me that all government buildings must have handicap accessibility, so when I did a drive-run, I drove to the back of the building and saw several parking areas with handicap access, and an entrance to the building at ground level. Once inside, you must go through a security check point conducted by the Sheriffs, and once past the checkpoint, there’s a museum on the ground floor, with a staircase and elevator access to the upper level. I don’t know why all the posted photos or descriptions doesn’t mention any of this, so I hope that this added information may have some of their questions answered.

Had a great time touring around the court last night. Here are some of the photos.

It was a pleasure and an honor to be able to visit this very historical and important building in the area. I believe it has its own preservation Society that overseas renovations, and remodeling to make sure that it is consistent with the authentic construction of the time period.
Beware of the 100 year old wooden chairs in the quart room that are the style of all the baseball stadium seats, the wood is very hard and unforgiving. They have a small museum which is a great place to visit to pass time and a small vending machine that only serves drinks. I felt very safe going through a metal detector at the entrance with security.
