Planet Fitness, Oxnard CA

You get what you pay for and it's a huge let down. Don't expect to get a decent workout let alone a machine.even when you go and the app shows less traffic everyone and there mom is there so do not expect to get a machine. Worst comes to worse you have at least some cardio machines but that is if you do not care about your ankles as at least 1 in 3 treadmills are going to slip. If you try to get a popular workout machine just anticipate to wait as they have 2 of each popular one and at least one is broken and missing a pin. And if you have any hope to bench press just know they have 4 squat racks that will be consistently occupied for 30 minutes.so you may be able to wait for a machine but it will take you a while.just expect to be let down when you utilize this gym or end up in some tools selfie on the bathroom.

Gym no problem but I can't even go to the gym for a hour and come back with a citation on my car or my car would be towed bc it's late they think every car is staying over night the gym needs to give out a parking permit or something so people cars won't get taken away and I park right in the front so it's not the area I park

You guys also need to tell the security company to stop giv8ng people this violations tickets I went to the gym at 2am came come put a hour later parked in the front and I have this.

I like this gym because is not too crowded. I go to workout at different times of the day and I rarely wait for machines even at peak hours.

The gym has everything i need, there is always room for improvements. I just think it's an average gym "You get what you pay for".

This specific location is always clean and the clientele is typically nice and helpful, i.e, if you need a spot, people are happy to help. Parking outside is also never an issue!

I go to the gym in the morning and, though it’s generally not too busy, squat racks (aka those things people bogart for what seems like hours on end and do almost everything BUT squats with) are almost always occupied. I’ve found that if I arrive any LATER than 6AM, I’m basically out of luck. They usually clear up at about 7: 30AM because people need to start heading to work… but, so do I… This is why I’m giving this location 4 stars. It’s not equipped for the number of people who go. They need another squat rack or two, OR they need to limit people’s time on the racks they already have. It’s only going to be worse in the summer.

Other than that, I very much like this location. The employees are nice, the clientele is nice, the equipment is clean, and it’s the ONLY gym I know of that didn’t push a mask rule outside of the time they were mandated. It was nice to go to a gym where I could actually breathe!

This is the 3rd gym I’ve been to in Ventura County. In saying s, this is what I’ve noticed. The staff is always in a good mood, helpful, and cleaning. This is the cleanest gym I’ve been to and I’ve noticed people here actually clean their machines, unlike other gym. While it does get packed during rush hours, it is never as packed as other gyms. They have all the essential machines, showers, clean bathrooms, and more. I really like it and think those who are commenting bad things are simply entitled since I’ve experienced no problems here.

Being open 24 hours puts this gym onto a whole notha level! And any negative reviews about this spot is completely ludicrous.
For being in Oxnard, of all places, this gym is always clean and you never have to wait for a shower. It’s about as laid back as you could ever ask for a gym. So the people with sub par comments need to just look in the mirror and get over yourself.

Don’t let me forget, show me a gym that has a better deal than Planet Fitness.

Gym is supposed to be open 24hrs. That's why I bought the membership. I went to the gym and got a violation ticket. The security guy threatened me that next time I was parked at the gym they'd tow my car and call the police. Planet fitness did nothing about the issue. They shouldn't advertise that the gym is 24 hrs if you can't use it at night. Cancelling my membership

Hot water shut off in women's shower after 3 minutes.
No place to set any shower supplies.

Nomads: Don't expect much, but it was fairly clean.

NOT MY JOB TO NOTIFY MANAGEMENT.

Descent quick workout gym. Machines are really basic. Place isn't that crowded. Mostly treadmills and elliptical's. Restrooms are nice. My only complaint is that they don't have enough weight lifting equipment. Parking is good but really dark at night.

The manager Daniel and the majority of his staff have inferiority complex, completely make a amazing time to work out into the worst idea for the day. The best time to rethink that membership and the value of your peace of mind
Not the first planet that I have been to, there are some amazing staff in other facilities and great environments that really do make the working out just that much more inviting, a blissful experience. Kudos to those gyms. Oxnard facility needs some re.education on customer service, people skills and just simple and effortless. Human kindness

The gym is fine but the women’s locker room is GARBAGE. Two of the three sinks don’t work, the shower stalls always have hair or paper towels or bandaids or other nasty things on the floor. The warm water goes out in a minute. It might have been nice once but now it’s run down and not maintained… super bummed compared to other planet fitnesses we have been to.

The place looked great and the clerk was quite professional.sadly one cannot get a membership without a checking account.

Be aware of this loaction they cut the locks and robe you if i could put zero star i, ll do it
