Planet Fitness, Clovis CA

I recently went to this gym and had questions about membership. I was helped my Karen, she was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Thank you Karen for making it super easy and quick!

Been coming here for just about a month. This is not my home gym and joined only because I am here for 3 months. My home Planet Fitness is in Jacksonville Florida. Since coming here there is always equipment broken and today takes the cake. There are 9 pieces of equipment broke and when I ask the front desk their excuse is the have to share a maintenance person with all the other gyms. Make absolutely no sense. They make plenty of income for them to be able to maintain the equipment. Personally I would highly recommend that you find a better gym to join. For me I’m only here for a couple of months that are left, then to my home planet fitness in Jacksonville, which really take care of their equipment. Today is the 7the of March at approximately 12;11pm. Again if your looking for a PF to join do not join this one. Not the first time I have seen issues with this gym.

Walter and Angie are awesome. They always make me feel welcome and are very professional. They always do their best to make sure everything is taken care of. Mark, Rico, and Landon have awesome customer service and make me feel at home. I am grateful to exercise in this gym.

I love going here very minor incidents every time. Everyone is knowledgeable as what they are here the staff is very friendly and accommodating. And they have fancy massage chairs proud to be here.

Friendly welcoming staff. The facility and equipment are pretty clean. I enjoy coming here to work out.

Best location in Clovis/Fresno area. I lost my air pods here and Brian Elizalde figured out that they belonged to me and contacted me. I appreciate him for going out of his way. I also want to shout out Josie and Mark for being wonderful over night employees. All employees here in general are always so nice and they make the gym environment a comfortable place. Thanks y’all.

This is a good gym with great folks running the operations. The employees at the Clovis location at awesome!

ALL of the ellipticals are broken. They start auto-shutdown after ten seconds even though your still moving. The ShiftLead said it is a programming error which is why it affects all of them. The second lie-down HydroMassage broke a couple weeks ago, and the first one has been broken for months. She said it will be about a month before they are fixed, since they only have one person that can maintenance the equipment. The 2nd hydromassage bed (and all the ellipticals) are not marked as broken, and they are still showing them to people on the tours. They just let you get on the elliptical and waste the first 10 minutes of your workout looking stupid, trying to figure out why its not staying on. When I asked for a HydroMassage lie-down bed the front desk employee assigned me to a lounge instead. When I asked if the lie-down beds were broken, he said "I don't know". So I asked, "So I can't do the lie-down bed because they're still broken right? " and he said "Yes", so the real problem here is not just that a bunch of there stuff is broken and not getting fixed anytime soon, but that it seems they are intentionally being dishonest with their current and potential customers about the situation. Hopefully they will get it together soon. In the mean time I'll be driving to a different gym. Being lied to just isnt a good way to start my mornings.

My biggest pet peeve is a dirty gym and this visit gave a pretty bad impression.

Came in and the men’s locker room was highway rest stop status; disgusting. The toilets were covered in urine and there was no toilet paper. I told one of the male employees; he was wearing the gray zip up so I think he might be some level of supervisor / manager. For the next five / ten minutes he decided to stand behind the counter with three other employees having a good time laughing.

Little more time passed and him and the other male employee started going around the gym refreshing the cleaning stations. I assumed the restroom was handled; it wasn’t…. It was now 25 minutes after I told this employee the toilets were foul and he didn’t bother addressing it.

For the locker room to have been that dirty and out of stock, that means it hadn’t been checked in a couple hours. That’s unacceptable for such a high capacity / patronage gym.

For an employee to have the attitude of “yeah, yeah, I’ll get to it when I feel like it” when the toilets are literally unusable, that should require a coaching session from management.

For a male employee to finally replace the toilet paper, but ignore the toilet soaked with bright yellow urine, unacceptable.

For the gym to have four staff members on duty standing behind the counter, and the locker room to have been that dirty, this wasn’t a one-off incident where they were shorthand and overwhelmed. This filth is the standard and the club needs to do much better.

I really hope things turn around and cleaning becomes a bigger priority.

The gym is nice, however where this place gets its 2 stars is from its customer service, especially the cancelation process. I moved out of state and they really told me I need to come in to cancel my membership. Sure, as soon as you pay for my flight back.

Super friendly environment! Everyone is so sweet here! This is my favorite gym and makes me continue to show up for myself! Don’t think about it sis, just come and be a part of the environment!:)

Best gym ever! Clean bathrooms, affordable prices, extremely friendly staff! Rico is the best at the desk and Walter is a fantastic GM.

I really like the Clovis Planet Fitness gym. The staff is friendly, the gym is clean and the equipment is in good condition. The “newer” to Clovis manager has really improved the facility. Her attention to details (cleanliness, equipment operation and staffing) has truly improved the experience. She definitely knows her stuff!
