Platt Electric Supply reviews
5I am a local to this platt. Ive been to other platts in the state of California, and have loved them all. I’ve also been to all other supply houses locally and this store is by far the absolute least friendly I’ve ever been in. There is one man in particular who is a older gentleman (hardly a gentleman) he’s shorter, with glasses (I believe), and a mustache. He does nothing but try to correct you, or make you feel as stupid as possible, be as short and as snarky as possible, and acts like he wants to be doing absolutely anything else than to be there talking with you. I’ve had him try to correct me multiple times during multiple encounters (Even if his assumptions/correction is totally inaccurate or wrong and he makes himself look ridiculous). I try my absolute best to go to North Valley, or CED, but sometime the equipment I use is strictly Eaton specific, and they are the only place to go (besides Home Depot). I dread every time I have to go in there. It’s one of the nicer stores as far as tool selection and neatness, but the customer service from almost everyone in there makes it the absolute worst and most dreadful places that I go into out of any store anywhere in town. I’m sure I’ll be forced to come back at some point, and I will refuse to work with the man I worked with today. If you’re needing any electrical parts, make sure to go anywhere if it doesn’t have to be Eaton specific. The guys at CED and North Valley are helpful, friendly, and want to get you what you need and be polite about it. Will not be coming with every fiber of my being, Home Depot actually had what I needed (when platt barely had half), and I’m going to order online in advance if it has to be Eaton specific.
Great customer service. They will bend over backwards to help you find what you need. I always use platt
My company does over 4 million dollars of work each year.we strictly use platt. I’ve been to well over 40 different platt stores.this one, is, without a shadow of doubt, The very worst platt I have ever done business with. They are unknowledgeable, incompetent, have extremely poor communication, and are INCREDIBLY rude. I don’t know if it’s just a vortex or what, but literally every single one of them act like they would rather be doing ANYTHING but talking to you.
This platt is so bad, that we set up an account with north valley, for a single job. North valley is better. They’re a little more pricey than platt, but the customer service is top notch.
Employees always seem to have an attitude and dont listen. Also don't have very good knowledge of materials they are supposed to specialize in.
