It was our first time here and we had such a fun time! They had a BOGO promotion going for admission into the park, which included a wristband for everything in the park except for food, drinks, some carnival-style games and the train ride. Food and drinks you pay yourselves at the food area, and the games and train ride are extra digital credit. The train ride was only $3 per person, and was worth it for us.

We went on a Friday afternoon/early evening and there was no wait for anything! It was a dream come true for all the kiddos with us, all ranging from ages 1-12. The staff were all really friendly and interactive, which made the experience that much more enjoyable. Rides included a carousel, a ferris wheel, spinning tea cups, Dumbo ride, obstacle courses, slides, boat rides, airplane rides, and so much more.

Parking can be tricky since the parking lots are shared with visitors for the zoo and Roeding Park in general. There is a separate fee for parking in Roeding Park where this located. Restrooms were available in the park.

It's a shame that this little amusement park may be closed down soon, but we will definitely be coming back as much as we can until that happens! Please consider going and supporting!

****SAVE PLAYLAND******
This place is perfect for the lil ones.clean environment and just right for the younger kids with no wait time for rides and NOWHERE else to take them in the entire central valley! Unfortunately
. Our mayor wants to shut it down to expand parking for the zoo and this really feels like an iconic place with a lot of fond memories is getting tossed aside along with a good safe place for our younger children to go and enjoy the freedom to be a child! The staff here are trying very hard to fill the demands from the city that will keep the doors open but they need a little help with attendance.so. I think it would be a worthwhile endeavor to visit more occasionally!

Cute area for the kids. But why charge adults $15 each? Ridiculous when we can't even get on all the rides. Only charge adults if they want to ride. We went on a Sunday night and there were only 6 other guests there. It was so sad, cold, lonely, dark.we wanted to leave but we had just paid. Most of the rides looked like they were off. The attendants all looked bored and were not all inviting. It was awkward. Then $3 each to ride the train. I think that should be included with the wristband. We only went on 3 rides and left. Waste of money. Won't be returning. I see why no one comes here repeatedly.

Have more light.louder music.more excited employees.maybe heaters

I didn't like the idea that you have to pay on a machine alot of people don't like that u should have have cashier alot of people pay with cash not. Computer or card I'll never go there because of that and I'm sure alot of other people too and you need to advertise that your open

Just took my family there over the weekend to celebrate the birthday of my twin girls… We had a blast! Perfect for younger kids… And really inexpensive if you consider that the $15 entry fee covers all of the rides and video games except for the three dollar train ride… I would definitely recommend this to anybody in the Fresno area… It is definitely a shame that more people do not know about this place or are just hesitant to the downtown area. Good chicken strips at the concession booth and they have Coca-Cola!

We’ve gone twice, on Halloween day and a week prior, while the fair was here. We have a 2 yr old and an 11 yr. My self and husband had a great time. The 2 yr old got to go on a good amount of rides.it’s small but admission comes with all rides, except train ride. It’s cute for what it is

*****October 2023 Update*****
I encourage everyone to check Playland's Facebook & Instagram for pricing and hour updates. They've been posting tons of specials lately, including free train rides on Wednesdays (with $10 admission), regular Buy One Get One Free offers, and extended hours on weekends.
At this point in time, there is really no cause to complain about the pricing. There are in-out privileges if you'd like to leave Playland to grab lunch elsewhere or picnic close by. I've never had problem bringing in water bottles during my multiple visits.
This little park is a regional gem. Please support Playland so that it will be around for generations to come.

Was pleased that the weather cooled off enough for my family to visit Playland on a weekday this summer. With the reduced-price specials on Wednesday and Thursday, our visit was well worth the cost. I have many happy memories of this park from my childhood, and am glad my kids too are getting to enjoy the Ladybug cars, the Dragon Coaster, and the Carousel.

I am quite sad that the old egg-cage Ferris Wheels has been replaced with a single newer, much more generic Ferris Wheel. Additionally, the paddle boats and the dock are unusable from obvious disrepair, which breaks my heart to see. But I'm hopeful that some of these original favorites are on the list to be repaired and re-installed.

Edit: Reading other reviews, many people complained about the "no outside food" policy. For what it's worth, I brought in visible water bottles and small snacks to no opposition. Staff did not enforce the rule the day I visited. Maybe that would have been different if I rolled up with an ice chest, but in my experience bringing in snacks was no problem.

I never review places but I just have to this time. We went last Sunday and had a wonderful time. There are 2 workers there that just stood out and went above and beyond with my 3 year old who has no social skills and is so shy he hides behind me. Ariel had him laughing so hard on the boat ride that he was practically screeching with delight, she was ringing the bell and interacting with him the entire time he was on the ride. He was smiling so big, I've never seen him so excited and her attitude was absolutely contagious. She is absolutely wonderful. Another employee we had the pleasure of meeting was kaylynn, she was running the obstacle course. My little one got up and freaked out. She was right there making sure he was ok and encouraging him. He made it through the course and went back again and again. I don't think we would have had such a wonderful time if it weren't for these 2 workers, because they completely broke the ice with him and he became comfortable and confident. It was really amazing to see. All the other workers were great but these two gems are the reason we will be returning. Definitely a core memory!

The only thing keeping me from ever visiting was the late open time. It’s been an awesome experience. My kids loved it! Definitely get your money worth when it comes to the wrist bands. No wait times. If money is an issue then I suggest at least packing lunch in the car so you can go back to your car to eat then go back into the park to play.

The rides are super fun and it is not a lot people there so there is no wait time for rides. I wish there is more games or other rides for adults so it is not so boring. Other than that, it was a fun day for my kids. The staffs are great except the dudes at the train.

Me, my uncle, and our nieces and nephews (his great nieces and nephews) and my lil cousins had a blast! No long wait times for the rides, all the staff was friendly, and there was so many things for the kids to do. We even got on the rides too! It reminded of my childhood when my dad, uncle's, and grandmother would take us up here to have fun and ride the paddle boats and train and stuff! #goodFamilyFun

Wow, Playland was awesome. Brought the kids here instead of the fair. I did have to pay an entry fee for myself but it was fine because I did go on some rides with the kids. I can come here three or four times with what I paid for fair entry and ride wrist bands, this is really a no brainer to keep coming back to playland. It was so clean and staff was super friendly! It was decorated very cute for Halloween which allowed some awesome photo ops. Kids liked the food and I would say priced as how I would expect at a place like this. If you are on a tight budget or diet just eat before coming. They don’t allow food or drink in but they do have free water cups. Parking is $5 or you can get an anual pass for $25 or $35 a year (can’t remember exact price I paid) if you are considered low income, regular price I believe is $45. That parking pass gets you into Woodward park as well. We went on a Saturday late afternoon and found parking right in front and hardly anyone was there, zero wait times for rides.

Improvements have made the experience better for children and adults. A new variety of rides for children. Bright colors cheer things up. Decent bathrooms available. Three bounce houses for small children added, one with a slide. Adult size ferrous wheel, carousel, tea cup ride and giant slide that can be enjoyed as a family. Snack bar is pricey but has a pretty good menu. Regular entry price ($20 children, $10 adults) covers unlimited rides and mini golf. Train ride and games are extra. Look for special pricing days online at Playland Fresno.
