It’s a beautiful library with lots of books for kids and games, but it’s just always so dirty. For being so new it just looks trashed. A few days ago I took my kid outside in the child play area and there was a USED pad on the floor. So gross and can’t make myself go back.

Who designed this library? Give them a award for being the words designers and developers. Where was the city council that was ok with this? They sure don’t know what a library is. Worst new library ever. Not a quick place, barely has books.

Okay so I’m only in middle school and was super excited for the new pleasant hill library, as schools always made a huge deal of it while it was being built. I was anticipating a better design than the old dome shaped library, which is a super nostalgic for me and most kids my age in town. But every time I visit the library, I can’t help but feel super disappointed and also annoyed about the amount of noise and how the designers of this new building took no aspect of soundproofing or noise control in the library, which is supposed to be a quiet space. It’s super hard to study there as there are always either like 10 two year olds screaming and running, double the amount of parents stressed trying to keep their kid under control, and even more middle schoolers from the middle school next to it using it as a place to hangout. And you can hear everything! Ik it’s a public space but damn it’s loud

I really like this library! It’s modern, and stylish! Not like some of the other ones in the area that are stuffy and outdated!

Beautiful new building. Downsides are that libraries are no longer quiet places, sadly, and the stock of books is tiny compared to libraries of the past, due I assume, to the prevalence of digital books. If you don’t mind not finding the exact book you’re looking for and if you go before school gets out, it’s a pleasant place to visit.

My favorite library. The place is spacious yet cozy, beautifully designed, and the staff are always helpful.

Library is user friendly and good open space. The only issue here is the library is very very noisy with school kids. The local school in the nearby area allow their school kids to make this library their hub after school. The school kids are badly behaved and scatter their garbage all around the library premises. I would suggest the Library enforce quiet hours and not allow this to be a picnic spot for the kids. The toilet is trashed by local school kids as well.
Be prepared to come here if you are avoiding NOISE and Party Kids all day through.

The old library had books this new one the shelves are half full and the books they do have are terrible. I went to the cooking section there were 3 books, I went to the gardening section there wasn't a single gardening book. I wanted to find a book for my son about weights and there are only 26 in the whole library and they are checked out. This is so sad.

Wow what a cool library, it's modern yet so cozy. I love the giant window facing nature. The only issues are there aren't a lot of tables to study/work and it closes too early on some days.

I'm not too sure if I was able to explore the entire library, but even though it looks large from the outside, it's actually kind of small and everything is extremely spaced out, which i guess is good if you're into looking at new releases, but when you have kids and stuff the kids are is all crammed in together. Really like the outdoor play area that was a plus and it seems like they have a big toddler mommy community that comes out to do all the stay-at-home mom stuff.

It is a newly constructed building with all amenities inside and an outdoor playground for young children.

I stopped by the Pleasant Hill library after checking out the new development on Oak Park Blvd. A very lively library that is well maintained. They have shelves near the entrance for books pick up (what a great service). Good selections of books, separate areas for different age groups, and separate study rooms!

I am floored that this is a public library - it's one of the most beautiful libraries I've seen! But the real reason I'm here: to thank the cape-less hero who helped me this evening. I walked in 10 minutes before closing needing to print something. He saw me out of the corner of his eye and interrupted his conversation to ask if I needed assistance. He set me up with a computer to print, and when I needed help, was literally running to the front desk to problem-solve before closing. Running! Before closing! To help someone print something in a public library! The average person doesn't do that for strangers. It's these small acts of kindness that make me excited about humanity and about being out in the world. THANK YOU sir with the short brown curly hair, jeans, and green plaid shirt. The world is grateful for your positivity.
