Pleasure Pizza, Santa Cruz CA

Yummy! I love when places sell slices. I don’t always want a whole pizza that is all the same flavor. With slices, you can get a variety.

It’s located close to my house and they always have really good pizza. I am more of a fluffy bread crust girl and they have huge slices with nice bready crust.

They have a pepperoni and pineapple that is really good as well as the ham and pineapple. They usually have specials that are very creative and full of flavor.

They have a nice location near the hook beach right off of Portola and 41st Ave. You can sit down inside or outside to eat your pizza or take it down to the water to watch the waves.

Staff is always super nice and greet you with a smile like you’ve been coming here for years. Great spot for slices but you can get a whole pizza as well.

Love the pesto and Juliet’a garden pizzas. There are always a couple vegetarian options available for pizza-by-the-slice. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the neighborhood (and even if you’re not!).

Got to go to pleasure Pizza Man, that is a staple of the east side of Santa Cruz. Been there forever, the pizza is actually really wonderful. Nothing bad about that one.

The place had a cool vibe and the pizza looked amazing.very large slices BUT it tastes just ok ‍️.

If you’re familiar with local surf lore or the movie Chasing Mavericks get yourself to Pleasure Pizza for a pie or slice. Flavors are good and slices enormous. A good amount of seating inside amidst surf memorabilia or outside with market lights, picnic benches, and counters for people watching. Parking can get a little tight as it shares the lot with a small market or save yourself the hassle and walk or bike over. Whatever you do, live like Jay. ‍️

Come on it's a pleasure pizza. If you have never been you need to stop and get a slice of pizza. Take your food down the road to watch the surfers. Big slices of pizza

Great pizzas, even my NYC people loved it. From a vegan perspective, there is one pizza you can get which is the veggie where they leave the cheese off of it. Unfortunately, I can't remember the name of it but the folks were Uber helpful so just ask and they will tell you. Tasty crust and great toppings. They have one of those soda machines that has every soda and variation of soda imaginable. Highly recommend the place.

Pretty good pizza place, I would call this a California style pizza, very big slices with thin crispy crust and fresh toppings, and not overly greasy like a New York slice can get. It’s the best place for pizza on this side of town by a long shot

Arrived for a pickup and was told there was no order. I showed the phone number I called and the store on maps. I was told it was the other store down the road. I walked there and showed the hostess the phone number and place on my phone and was told I had the right place to begin with. I walked back over and had to put my order in again and wait. Meanwhile the woman behind the counter told me it wasn't the right number. I then called the number and she answered it and asked me to hold on. There were 3 people working that night and I'm sure they had quite a few takeout orders coming in but we weren't too happy with the result. We won't be returning due to having a run around.

Went here after a surf session at the hook, unfortunately it smells much better than it tastes. The pizza was bland and expensive for the price (Pizza my heart costs the same per slice and is miles better) and the slices completely fell apart when I picked them up to eat (TWICE!). Would not recommend.

Really nice pizzas. We enjoyed our dinner. Pizza dough is so tender and topping was delicious. Service was excellent.
Highly recommend.

Nice staff at this location: I'll drop by if I'm in the neighborhood and have a craving later in the evening. I like it better than downtown! Please do put more sauce on your pizza though!

Awesome, as usual. Lived in the area for a long time a while ago and before living overseas and a few other places, and Pleasure still has the best in the world.
Recently went back, same as ever but less toppings and prices went up, just as expected in this economy.

One of my favorite spots to eat, they have my veggie pizzas if your a vegetarian. And the price for a big slice is great, $5.50.

The pizza slices they are famous for are the buffalo chicken combo and the pleasure combo slices. Best slices on the eastside of town. Give it a try and judge for yourself.

I drive throughout northern California for work. Monterey to Santa rosa to modesto. I eat pizza 4 times a week. Gave this place a try.gotta say, excellent. Tasty cheese. Excellent toppings. Not too thin. This is one of the better pizzas I've had in a while. (I've tried 100s of places) this place is great. Price was right. Pizza was good. I'll definitely come back. I'll be in the area in 2 weeks. Had a pepperoni and mushroom. Next time I gotta try the meat combo.

Pesto Pizza is amazing! Bring extra napkins to sop up the oil on Meat slice. SO good. We will be back. Grab & Go slices

Came here in December 2021, almost 7 years since the last time I was here; STILL JUST AS GOOD AS EVER. Best pizza on the west coast for sure.

Yum. Great thin crust NY size slices. Chill staff. If you're getting slices to go home tell them you will heat it when you get home.so the crust doesn't get reheated too much, trust me. Otherwise they have an outdoor seating area with plenty of room to spread out if you're eating there.parking is kinda cramped though
