Some mites bit me and my friend, leaving us with hives and itching on our face, neck, wrists and hands. They didn't give us any cream or medicine because they didn't have an emergency first aid kit and to make matters worse, the customer service provided by a certain Michel doesn't look for solutions, he isn't interested in his guests.
It also happened that they made a mistake in giving us a two-person bed for two days and on the second day they told us that they were confused that we should change to a one-person bed and that we had to pay for another bed because of their confusion.so since we didn't have money, they stayed only one and the other had to go find another hostel. We went to Samesun, which I highly recommend. Much cleaner and cheaper. People love and beachfront Venice Beach.

We spent the day at Podshare with their day pass and man did we have a great experience! Awesome facilities, unreal location and such a cool community of artists, social people, and good vibes. The staff is amazing and accommodating.

They have an open room concept, meaning: you don’t sleep (for example) in a 6 bedroom with a door, because there are no doors. Everything is open and connected - all the beds, the living area, kitchen, bath and exit. So you hear noises all the time. Me and my boyfriend stayed for one night and didn’t get much sleep.

I especially didn’t like that the bathrooms weren’t separated from the sleeping area and not closed off. I’m the back, we’re we were sleeping, the sink was open to the room, the shower and the toilet had louvered doors, so you would hear everything (really everything) all the time, all night.

Although quiet time was supposed to be from 10pm to 10am, you couldn’t sleep longer than 7/8am as people were beginning to use the bathroom, which, again, you could hear. The exit door was opened early, too, so it got cold and someone from staff turned on the light and talked to some people very loudly.

Also, for the whole unit there were only 3 toilets (4 but one had no door at all) which wasn’t enough as people kept waiting or looking for a free bathroom.

Lastly I was a bit disappointed of the vibe. I am used to hostels being super welcoming and friendly. Here staff was friendly when asked something, otherwise seemed annoyed.

But: I have to say, the bathrooms were quite clean most of the time and I guess if you get a bed high up in the big room and not right to the hallway between bathroom, kitchen and beds, you might not have all these problems. And free parking was great.

It is a hostel near Venice, however you do not have privacy, since the beds do not have a curtain or anything that separates them and this is part of the concept, even if you want to put a towel or something to cover it, it is prohibited, the internet is something unstable, the bathroom and showers are in good condition, you can buy your food and refrigerate it there. There is a kitchen where you can heat 24 hours a day, after 12 at night you cannot make noise and they turn off the lights and you can really hear everything so if someone coughs or makes noise you will no longer be able to rest well, which The most relevant thing about the place is that it is about a 15-minute walk from Venice, although the price-quality ratio is high, but it will still be the cheapest you will find in the area, and it will really depend a lot on the type of trip you are making.

This place was like finding water in a desert. Brilliant stay, good service, location was like excellent, the whole idea of shared living was amazing, met some nice people from all walks of life. It was very well maintained, basketball ball court if you want to flex, 10pm to 10am are quiet hours as they make sure people get some quiet time. Jerit and Dustin both did a fab job of taking good care of customers.

Personally, I would not recommend. The woman in charge Elvina is problematic and displays very irrational behavior. I would not recommend at all. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Not the place you’d want to give your money to.

I just loved staying at this place! The idea with the pods is so cool and you get to meet so many people, some are passing by some are longer-term resident. The beach is only a 10 min walk away, so just perfect! You won't regret your stay there!: D

This place is an absolute DUMP run by a bunch of unprofessional CLOWNS, i should start by saying NOBODY has any clue what’s going on, they never have the proper staff nor do they understand what any of the real issues at matter are.perhaps they should work on customer service and then worry about internal communication, because quite frankly that’s was the issue from the start.if you wanna stay in large a room that smells like dirty feet & hear a bunch of people snoring on top of the staff being unknowledgeable about anything but sitting a the front desk with a poor smile and a huge lack of consideration, i suggest you book to waste your hard earned money & disrespect your time!

Quaint, rustic, offbeat travel hub in the heart of Venice is a perfect spot! Features Co-Living at its finest! I have visited POD Venice once a year, since 2021 and I enjoy my stay there more & more every time! The staff is friendly & welcoming and the Manager on duty -Dustin- was attentive, informative, & helpfull! They offer a variety of on-site amenities & truly help with local happenings & events to attend. Very amazing place, not your average by the beach hostel:)

Unlike the one in Hollywood I found it much dirtier, especially the bathroom and the shower constantly leaking all day and all night, I don't know about the second bathroom because it was under renovation.many people made a mess even at night by walking through the corridors without the slightest consideration. Too bad also for the mouse that wanders around. As for the location, I would say it's excellent and the outside of the hostel is also very cool if you want to relax. The car park is also excellent, thanks for everything anyway guys

Really cozy and warm! The queen bed they had for my fiance and I felt like a cloud after a long day at the beach.

PSA: make sure to book directly through their site as the 3rd party sites collect more fees due to being a 3rd party!

After sleeping here 1 night I found red bite marks all over my body.

Staf was very friendly, gave me a refund and will work on the issue

Yo. This place is Dope! Tons of space, always clean, great staff, just a fantastic place to stay. Besides the travellers that stay short term, there are some long term locals that are absolutely the best. So helpful and fun. The location is the Bomb. 10 minute walk to the beach. 10 minute walk to Abbot Kinney. You won't be sorry you stayed here. Also, definitely no horror movie vibes. Two thumbs up. Five stars. 100% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes.

I never share reviews, but this time I feel compelled to share my experience as it is the first time something of the sort happens to me. After sleeping a night at the pod share, I woke up with bites all over my body (from lice or bugs). The customer service team was completely dismissive of my situation stating wrong facts and asking me to share photos of the bugs/lice (as if I would have still stayed in that hostel after seeing them). This is not considering the fact that the place is worse than a military barrack: it is smelly, of course there is no privacy (that's part of the deal) and you get a guy asking you aggressively "Who are you? " every time he sees you even though you've told him already who you are (most probably because they have had people coming in that are not guests and who steal guest's personal property). The place is not cheap ($70/person), and if you travel with someone else in particular you might as well take a hotel room for $10-$20 extra and they are going to be the most well-spent bucks of your trip.

To rebut the response of the owner who continuously pursues in making false statements:
- False statement 1: I slept alone in a single bed. My friend was sleeping in the top bed on the other side of the corridor.
- False statement 2: I emailed you THREE days after check-out on the 16th of May 2023 (I checked out on May 13th 2023). And the reason I waited for so long is because I had never been bitten by bed bugs before and I wanted to make sure that they were not mosquito bites.
- False statement 3: You can clearly see the bites. I sent the photos where the bites were not completely visible to show you the evolution of the bites from the first day we checked out to prove to you that that it couldn't have been any other hotel.it took about 12 hours after check-out for the bites to become fully visible.
- False statement 3: I didn' t use any public transportation during the trip as we had rented a car.

There is one word to describe your lot: SLUMLORDS.

Podshare Venice has been Awesome for me from Day 1 throughout my several extended stays. From the great staff, to the Comedy nights, mini concerts and all the collective interactions from people from all over the Globe! It kind quite literally change your life and life perspective. You never know whom you might meet. Thank you Elvina and Podshare Peeps!

Such a wonderful group of people and a fantastic place to stay if you need a safe, co-living space in LA. I’ve stayed at almost all the locations and everyone has been respectful and welcoming. Sadie at Los Feliz has been very attentive and friendly every time I stay. They also are a great organization helping unhoused people live in a safe environment for a discounted rate. A company that has a mission to help the world, a good sense of design and use of space and connects interesting and welcoming people. If you haven’t tried a Podshare, give it a shot. It’s always a unique experience.
