Poke Etc. reviews
13Great hole in the wall for some amazing Poke! Cool decor inside and the food was amazing! Staff was very friendly a definite a must try!
This is our second time here. The first time we ordered poke bowls and this time, we ordered combo plates with cooked meat and a side of poke. Next time, I would just stick to the poke. We didn’t find their meats to be that great. At least the ones that we tried.
We got the Island Bento (teriyaki chicken, pork tonkotsu, and spicy garlic poke) and Ohana Bento (kalua pork, shoyu chicken, and spicy mayo poke).
This place is still by far the best resemblance of poke in Hawaii IMO. Besides HFS. We love that the poke is already pre marinated.
They also sell tons of island merchandise like leis, necklaces, snacks, and even different flavors of Japanese Kit Kats.
Loved the authenticity of the poke unlike the Americanized version of the poke out there.this place is like a home cooked and real authentic poke from Hawaii.
First time trying Hawaiian and the food was pretty decent. We had the fish tempura and the texture of the fish was different to us. Not necessarily bad or anything, it was cooked properly. We're just use to meatier fish and this seemed like a really lite, delicate fish texture.
The rice we got was super delicious and cooked perfectly and I actually loved the macaroni salad.
I'd love to try other things on the menu if we're in the area again!
Here is a place to go for great food with the Aloha spirt. Everyone here is super friendly and they treat you like family. My goto spot for Poke in South Bay San Diego. They give you lots of food so you want go away hungry. Try the Spam Musubi and the Haipia dessert!
Awesome local spot, I believe it’s family owned and operated. The service was fast and poke was fresh. There is a military base nearby and a bunch of soldiers were eating so you know it’s a solid spot. I’ll be back for sure!
The Spicy Mayo poke, Shoyu Poke, Salmon Poke we’re good. Service was good too. We’ll try it again.
Poke was gross fish was definitely not sashimi grade, bones in tuna and salmon was super fishy and gross 16.50 down the drain
The first time I tried their poke was during the afternoon and it didn't impress me. The second time I returned earlier in the day and the poke tasted so much better and fresher. The spicy garlic flavor is so good!
One of the best poke places in SD hands down.i’ve been a regular since 2020 and this place never fails to amaze me.their staff is awesome and always so sweet and besides their poke, they have other amazing food options and snacks.stop by and you won’t be disappointed.
Great Hawaiian restaurant has a big selection of Poké. They also have a little market with Hawaiian and Japanese food items
We highly recommend the poke which comes in various flavors. The spicy poke was our favorite. We had the aloha combo and the Kailua pork was very delicious. Also, ordered the Hawaiian island combo. We enjoyed pork servings but would skip on chicken options. We definitely will return for poke bowls. Delicious and affordable with good customer service.
Fresh poke melts in your mouth. This is some of the chewiest stuff I've had since I started eating poke. I went here because of the reviews. Not happy I listened. I ended up throwing it away because of the rancid fishy taste. Fresh fish doesn't taste fishy.
