Pollos A La Brasa reviews
12 The food! We all liked the lomo, one person loves this place and the green sauce. The aguitito and beans were good.
The Inca Kola reminds me of fanta, was good.
Got three Lomo Saltado (13.75), an Aguatito (9.99), small and medium beans ($6 together), don't remember what the $4 was, Inca Gold Kolas 2 liters ($5), and sauce 2.50.
More than enough food for 4. There was a mix up in the order because I speak really low and the face masks make it harder to understand me but they were more than happy to accommodate the order (they seemed willing to replace items or refund them).
Tough spot to get to but the food. Peruvian food is among the greatest food finds and I say it is totally worth it. The chicken was really delicious, pollo a la brasa style. A great secret foody spot you will love the food there!
I went to pollos a la Brasa in Gardena on Vermont St, but was it was closed so I went all the way to pollo a la brasa in Downy, it is "NOT" the same, it is completely different there chicken is cooked with gas inside a glass rotisserie.
And it's over priced, I paid $11.50 for two pieces of chicken and rice!?
If anyone who wants to try really good Peruvian chicken, Cooked with oak wood in a brick oven, I highly recommend pollos a la Brasa in the city of (Gardena off of Vermont St). The best. No reservations needed.
Chicken is so good here-well seasoned and tender. Only downside was the wait for pick up order (over 30 minutes). Suggestion: call in your order.
Lomito saltado was pure fries and rice very little meat. My wife had chaufa de pollo. The chicken was old and dried. Not only that the place only has 3 little tables Never again
The chicken was very tasty, specifically when dipped in the special yellow sauce. The "chicha" was very cool and refreshing. Will definitely be back when in Downey.
The food is very tasty, the Aguadito, Lomo Saltado and Pollo A las brasas was really good. We also tried the Ollocuito con carne and although it was good it lacked enough carne.
The place is very tiny and it was busy for a Wednesday. As other reviews said, I would rather take out then eat there. It is pricey and the cashier could use a bit of customer service training. She wasn't rude but very short and not informative when asked about the menu.
I like the food here. Good for take out mostly. Wish the place was a bit bigger but I'm satisfied overall also please have someone who speaks English properly I would love that. Anyways Food is good
The food is top notch. The pollo a la braza and the lomo saltado are good. The only reason it doesn't get five stars is because there is very limited seating and the service is so so. I would highly recommend for take out, not so much for eat in. They really need to get a better place that has better ambiance.
The food is great! The service on the other hand is a joke. The big nose lady at the register talks down to you and everything gets charged.a container, salsa, napkins. I asked for water and that never came because i guess she wanted more money to pocket! Order and take home dont eat here.
Food is horrible, chicken is dry the papa A LA Huancaina is watered down do not recommend to anyone else.
It has great Peruvian dishes. The service can improve in time and their responses. Also add more room to the restaurant because it's very cramped inside.
