SO. GOOD. Wow! After just one visit, this is now one of my favorite Indian food places (and I’ve been to a solid amount).

We ordered and shared the Maharaja feast - I loved the variety of it, and every single thing included was so delicious. Very much worth it. Also got the chicken tikka masala, which was my favorite. We ordered it spicy and they really delivered on that. It was close-your-eyes-and-thank-the-heavens good. Highly highly recommend! Got to try the chicken biryani too and that was also good. I already wanna go back and try the other things on the menu.

Overall, this place is awesome! Good food, great service, nice decor. What more could I ask for. Do yourself a favor and check them out!

Hands down best butter chicken I’ve ever had, proper tandoori chicken in a delicious sauce. Excellent breads too. Almost detoured into Sacramento on the way home just to go here again.

We ordered Maharani Thali. The food was amazing and service was also good. A must try place for Indian food.

Absolutely the best and freshest around!
Been going here about 20 years. The food is always amazing lots of spices. The service is great and the place is always super clean and spotless. The owners are really nice people. Highly recommend if you want good quality Indian food. The fish is the best ever that's what I always eat here and I don't eat fish from anywhere else not even home!
If you like Indian food this is the best place in town and yes I have tried them all!

Felt like I’m back in Crawford Market in Mumbai. Got the Vegetarian Thali, the black dhal, Chana masala, sag paneer, veg pakora with rooti were just on point. Hubby got the non veg thali with chicken tikka, chicken makhni and lamb curry, he asked for seconds, it’s THAT good. ASK FOR THE CHUTNEYS. Transported me back, wishing there was Mango Amraz to wash it down in a hot day, with the humidity and sounds of Mumbai outside the establishment. Will be back!

Went specifically for pecora but was disappointed because of the core wasn't nearly as good as I hope it would be and a little pricey too.

Good food, I asked for a mild spicey food, but came really.
A bet pricey, but since I am visiting this city why not to spend more.
Service was excellent.

Delicious food! The mild spicy tastes more like medium, so I wouldn't recommend a spicier meal for those that eat mild/medium.

Everything was delicious. We did order everything in mild but it was kinda on the spicier side. Would definitely go back for dinner.

This is our favorite Indian restaurant in all of Sacramento. The food and flavors just take over your mouth in a rich form that leaves you smiling (no lie from this mouth). I've tried many places but nothing beats Pooja's. They really are so nice there and the food and price can't be beat. They are off the beaten path a little and worth the trip. Wanted to make sure I put our 2 cents in!

Pooja Grill is ripping people off with so small quantity and charging so high prices and the employees working there don’t even know how to handle a customers we order family size and she said single item will serve up to four people when I picked up the food is so tiny bugs can’t even feed a two person I don’t recommend this place at all to no one due to high price due to the small quantity and unprofessional customer service.
This place steal from people please do not go there.

Covid apparently has affected business but that does not excuse rudeness-food was fairly good but the lady who ushered us had an attitude totally uncalled for and then she proceeded to burp loudly! There were only two other customers not surprising. We will not be going there again ruined our mood entirely

We love Pooja. It is consistently good food and good quality. They use an adequate amount of spices in all their offerings which is an area where many Indian restaurants cut things short. Nothing worse that a curry without enough flavor to it, and by spice I do NOT mean it is spicy hot, just well seasoned. Highly recommended place. No buffet since covid unfortunately

What delicious food! I got my food via DoorDash. I ordered the Paneer Tikka, and it was the brightest, most flavorful Tikka I have had in a long time - both in color, flavor and in the mixture of veggies blended in. I ordered "Medium" spicy, and it was sufficiently spicy - enough to make me think the hotter spice levels are authentically hot. Excellent Naan as well - fluffy and tasty. The rice had a star anise on top and other spices in the mix, providing a really lovely spiced flavor to basic basmati. Great all around!

Customer service is meh, portions are way way undersized. Just stop cause I was in the area. Made me wish I was closer to Citrus Heights to hit up my usual spot. I absolutely will not be coming back here. I think there reviews are fake

Big enough you can usually find a seat for all you can eat lunch buffet, with plenty of parking. Food quality and atmosphere are fair for the price.

I asked maps for restaurants near me, and this was close by. I haven't had Indian food in a while, and it's been a favorite of mine for decades.

What a treat! The atmosphere shows huge pride in Indian culture, and I was there around 2: 00 pm. They serve lunch specials from 11 am to 2: 30 pm, and they have this lunch special with 6 different items (rice, naan, tandoori chicken, etc). The price is $14.99, and it's a bargain.

The decor pales into insignificance compared to the food. My lunch was too much food for one person, but it was so delicious, I over-ate with enthusiasm.

The different dishes are gently spiced for the American palate, but the flavors are so astonishing and rich, any more heat would diminish the fine nuances of the flavor. The naan was hot, with a perfect soft center and crunchy surface.

Every dish was perfect, and with 6 very different elements, that's difficult to achieve. It was a triumph of excellence.

I took my time. I savored every dish, every bite. I could feel myself getting full, and my body was saying no, but my taste buds and sensory systems were saying "Oh, just this once, treat yourself".

So I did.

I'll be back. Now I know what to expect, I'm going to get a to-go box right from the outset and put half away for later. Or take a friend and get two plates to eat off.

I'm looking forward to eating there with friends who enjoy Indian food. Particularly if they have never been there before.

If you go there because you read this review, tell them Richard sent you.
