Due to the fact that I was out of the country for 2 years and had to give up my rental apartment for that period, I had my belongings stored with Popeye Moving & Storage.
I can absolutely recommend them to anybody in need for moving services and especially for storage because they were absolutely professional, straight forward, very helpful and very quick.
Their help in getting my belongings packed and the delicate items crated professionally was a huge relief because it was done very efficiently but also with utmost care. Due to the state-of-the art storage facility with temperature control, none of the stored items got damaged over the period of time.

I was very satisfied with the services of the Popeye Moving team because they appeared on time, they worked very efficiently and were very careful with our belongings. The job was done very professionally and not a single item went broke.

BEWARE! These people are sharks.all friendly upfront but not honest. Wouldn't give me an upfront cost, wouldn't come to house and evaluate job, brought a truck that was too small so they had to make many trips and then charged for all the trips, and then at 10: 30pm after 2 long days of moving they forced me to sign many pages of documents that would have taken me 2 hours to read the fine print. Owner posts online but isn't really involved.someone else is doing it for him. Estavon & Denise's English isn't good so a lot of miscommunication.crazy! Be careful and make sure all you i's & t's are crossed. Charged me over $8K for a 15 minute drive from one location to the other. Outrages and holding my storage hostage that they said would cost me $97 dollars and then charged me $330. Then they said online that it was all stolen goods.so I produced receipts for all high end goods. Then they got quiet about stollen goods. 'What a mess' as Betty Davis said.

I am so blessed with that fast and careful move into storage.

Soooo grateful I went with Popeye movers. Patrick helped with talking me through all of my prep questions, he used Redfin and maps to calculate how much furniture we had and the path from our back townhouse to the street. Stephan was like a Swiss watch, on time, effective, efficient, careful - he’s like a moving savant. All the movers were pros, and took care of everything. I already recommended Popeye to 2 other friends who were moving too. The estimate was lower than the actual price by the end of the day by about $700 which I had factored in, everything always takes longer on moving day than you think it will. (4br house, 3 stories, tucked far back off the street.) So I was not surprised because I had assumed that would be the case. I don’t usually write reviews and they didn’t ask me to, I was just really relieved and happy they were so good, went above and beyond, got us all set up in our new house down to rugs and furniture placement and everything. These are the movers you want.

We live up in Santa Barbara and even when we just moved from the cottage on our property into the main house, we called Stephan at Popeye. They are amazing and super fast and efficient. Piano? No problem, these guys can handle it! We have used them to move us a number of times and my mother in law too. Did I already say AMAZING? Well, they are!

We went with the 3 men + truck service $147 per hour and from the time they arrived until the time we were all set-up in the new apartment was as fast as possible
The whole team were super quick and careful all of our furniture was perfectly wrapped and no damage whatsoever.

Family-owned & run, incredibly kind, fast, and wonderful!

Popeye have become more like friends I see every couple of years, and less like a business I pay to help me.

They do everything within their means to schedule their daily moves such that you get the quickest, best service possible. I've moved with them multiple times now, and while they have certain guidelines for their move, they accommodate me every time.

Both the office team & the movers treat you like a human-being; there is no false front, no thin veneer of falseness they hide behind before price-gouging or mistreating your things- these two work their butts off to quote you a price in (or below) your budget, and want nothing but your stuff to be moved safely and you to leave happy. They know how toxic the moving space can be, and how shady people can be- and they strive to do the opposite.

I've lived across the US, moved myself, and had movers from various companies move me, and I say this without hyperbole: Popeye's has been the best company I've moved with in my entire life- the costs, the kindness, the quality and SPEED of the move (they beat me to my place in a giant moving truck and I only stopped to get gas) - they are the best you'll find.

Give it a shot- request a quote, speak to Patrick, and come to understand you'll have no better moving experience in LA than working with these all-stars.

Nothing but good things to say about Popeye Moving. On short notice we hired them to move our apartment move about 15 miles. Their bid process was simple with Patrick and they were very good at constant communications.

When moving day arrived their three chaps who where courteous and efficient - wearing their Popeye uniform shirts. The leader Ariel explained the process and cost and had me sign off. They set about wrapping and protecting the furniture and were expeditious but careful. I was also loading some personal effects in my car and we had some fun back and forth banter. I really liked all of them.

They arrived at the new location and showed the same efficiency and care for my belongings. They reassembled our dining table and bedroom set with care. After tidying up they presented their bill which I was happy to pay along with a tip. They did not waste any time which was important because I was paying an hourly rate.

Would highly recommend this firm. They are a bit higher priced per hour than some others but as they say you get what you pay for. This firm is top notch and would absolutely use again.

I really recommend Popeye Moving they have been around for a long time & a can clearly see why.
I found them after a good friend of mine recommended them. I reached out with our building requirements a COI, workers comp insurance, and a move to be completed before 5 pm.

After emailing back and forth a couple times we jumped on a quick call to discuss our needs. Patrick in the office was totally understanding, knew exactly what was needed and scheduled our move to start early to ensure we would be within the building moving hours. I immediately felt at ease with Popeye Moving & Patrick, I can tell they are experienced in the complexity of moving in & out of buildings & I felt more relaxed straight away.

The day before the move they followed up to confirm/finalize all the details. They arrived 10 minutes early with a team of 4. I did a walk through with Ariel and the guys got started right at 8 a.m. The crew were in beast mode lugging our stuff down the stairs in a flash of an eye. They wrapped and ensured all our belongings got out and in safe and sound. They arrived at the new building and quickly started unpacking the truck, unwrapping the furniture, placed it where it should be, assembling the beds, and they took all their trash with them. From start to finish they finished our move 15 minutes over the estimated time. They were quick, courteous, and nothing but helpful. These guys are what you look for in a moving team.they worked fast, they were respectful. We hired Popeye Moving to move our 2 bedroom apartment to our new home. They were very nice, packaged up all of our furniture safely, and we could tell they really cared about everything. Stephan & the team and Popeye Moving & Storage co.did a spectacular job on my move and there's no way I could've done it without them. They turned an stressful task into something that looking back was a seamless process.

One day before the move, Able, Alex and David came and helped with packing. They did more in one day than we could in a month. It was a huge stress relief. Fast but safe and careful. I did not want to pack my boxes and they did a great job and just charged me per box. The wardrobe boxes were included for free which is great as I have so… so many clothes.

On the day of our big move, Abel led team, and they did a spectacular job. I have some nice furniture & artwork pieces and other difficult items. The most difficult was a large sectional couch which was carefully wrapped and moved. They managed to do it, and carefully maneuvered everything onto to the truck.

Overall I really appreciated the attitudes of everyone who helped over the move process. They were super nice and positive, fast but most importantly careful and safe. When dealing with a stressful situation like a move, you want people like that. Also communication throughout the process was outstanding. Stephan & Denise from the office were a pleasure to deal with, always answered my questions, and were super responsive.

I have and will continue to recommend Popeye Moving and Storage Co.to my friends and colleagues.

Popeye moving Co.have been my go to moving company for nearly 15 years now with 4 or maybe 5 moves in that time. I forget.
I have nice furniture high-quality leather sofas nice artwork some good electronics, collectible sports memorabilia that I don’t want to get damaged and to be treated with care - they are reliable - also I get priority as a old client which is nice.
My last move just in early January is hopefully my last but I enjoy houses and property so who knows then I’ll give Popeye moving a call again For move No. 6

Popeye did an excellent job helping me move all of my furniture and went the extra mile in making sure nothing was scratched or damaged in the process! They also helped me determine the placement of my large furniture as I have a XL sectional sofa that seemed impossible to fit in my dimensions of my new living room - they both setup the sectional perfectly! They did an excellent job communicating when they would arrive to my apartment and to my new home and explained all of the paperwork in detail. If you decide to use this company for your move, I would recommend them.

I just finished my move with these guys and I had a great experience.

The reservation process was very easy and customer service was extremely responsive and helpful. Patrick picked up a phone very quickly. I especially like that the pricing includes all the tape, blankets, and wardrobe boxes for my clothes.

The moving team arrived and got everything packed up extremely quickly. Estimate for the whole job was 6-8 hours, they finished it in 5 hours. I had expected everything to take longer than it did so I was pleasantly surprised when they dropped the last of my items off and told me they were done.

Overall, Great experience! Made my move so much easier. The movers were very efficient, respectful, and on time.
