Porkyland Mexican Grill reviews
16 Office catered. I honestly liked this and surprised its not ranked higher.
Tacos 8.5/10: made a beef and chicken taco. Well seasoned. Hot sauce was good and the spice level was just enough to make it hot. I think the key was the tortilla. Pretty sure they make their own so makes sense.
Hot sauce 8.5/10: mild was good and wasnt bland like most mild sauces are. Hot had just enough heat also good flavor.
Rice 7/10: standard
Beans 7/10: standard
The pork signature burrito was delicious. However, there was a plastic wrap in my burrito and I'm posting this to let y'all know that something may have accidentally been added to your ingredients
I used to come here a lot over the years but lately the service has deteriorated exponentially. Ordered food and asked for extra sour cream and extra cheese and got neither.even worse is the new guy thats there now is just as rude as the girl before him. THE ONLY person that ever gets my order right is the girl in the morning.and honestly dont think asking for extra sour and cheese is a complicated thing to ask for.ill pass on the rudeness from the new guy as well.would be awesome if he could learn some manners and get food orders right.
Went here for the first time today for two street tacos. Service was fast and friendly, the place was clean and has a nice little side patio for outdoor dining, and the food came out hot and quick. Delicious tacos and green salsa.
Sad I wanted tacos but the server was rude when I asked questions about the menu so I left
Ok. For so long I just thought this was another chain Mex food place. But it is near where I live and after a few times of ordering food there I started to think well maybe this place might be special. Well yes the food is good and it is consistently good. I also noticed that every time I went ther I saw the same employees. That is a very good sign. So I must declare, Porkyland is a really great Mexican food restaurant. Not the greatest ambiance because it is in a shopping mall be if you want some damn good Mexican food this is your place. And no I am not being paid to say this!
I ordered cheese enchiladas and got cold, unmelted cheese in them. In fact, both enchiladas were barely warm. Both the green and red enchiladas sauce tasted like they came straight out of a can with no seasoning. Probably the worst enchiladas I ever had. I'm guessing they make better burrotos and tacos? Not sure how they would stay open if their other plates were of the same quality.
The breakfast burritos were delicious! We tried the chorizo burrito and the bacon and egg burrito. The portion sizes were filling and fairly priced. The salsa was flavorful and a great addition to the burrito and even better with the chips.
Honestly I'm not one to write a bad review but considering everything I'm just irritated. I work near the area and have eaten here a handful of times. The food is average at best. I'm not even complaining about the taste. I just dont understand why their food is so pricey and I cant even get a full portion of food. It feels like every time I come here the portions are somehow smaller? Its b.s honestly. I paid $49 for a basic chicken salad. Carne asada fries and 2 orders of 3 rolled tacos. I knew the salad portion was small so I asked for extra chicken. It was $5 just for extra chicken and did i see extra chicken? Nope. Same tiny portion as usual. My 10 year old ate the carne asada fries and finished them. He looked at me and said I'm still hungry. Which didnt surprise me at all. If your going to charge 25%+ more for food than your average Mexican food place than at least give people what they are paying for. I'm never coming back.
We had a grilled chicken burrito and the carne street tacos. Both were great. Friendly staff and good service too.
Worst service ever. Was advised ot would be an additional $25 on top of a tip to have my food delivered after the order was submitted incorrectly by the 3rd party this company uses. Order number 169658152
The lady than had the gull to tell me it's not her issue
Love this place, my go to is the California surf & turf burrito. The sauces are great and flavorful, and the hot one has a nice kick!
Taco tuesday deal is nice, but tacos are pretty dry. No pico, no guac, no dressing, so probably better places out there.
Never write bad reviews but this was a huge let down. Drove 20 minutes to get a burrito and some food for lunch. Half of what I paid for wasn't even in my bag i went back to ask them for my burrito and they seemed like waiting around for food you called ahead for is no big deal. Half of my food cold the other half missing. Paid extra for guac never received it. Beans never received it. Extra salsa wasn't in the bag. The employees were the only people in the restaurant so not sure how they managed to forget half my order.
Always amazing. Huge portions. They don't charge much to add sides either. They have really good daily specials too. The hot salsa is the best I've ever had!
Drove from SDSU because they sent me a coupon to use before aug 31st. They said the could not honor it. So I tried Daphne’s next door. They were delicious. I miss Porkyland near SDSU.
