Portillo's Hot Dogs, Buena Park CA

I pretty much always get the big beef sandwich with hot peppers. I usually just grab drive thru. The beef and cheddar croissant is good, but but by the time I get home (5 minute drive at most) the croissant is mush.

Best burgers and hot dogs ever! I will drive 40 mins just to eat here! The cake shake is amazing!

STILL the best hamburger in Orange County. In the 15 years I've been back in OC, I STILL haven't had one of their hot dogs. I need to remedy this.

Food was good. First time here. I ordered the maxwell street polish hotdog. I wish there were more condiments avail other than ketchup. Place needs more busboys to keep the tables clean. We asked for someone to clean our table and they gave us wipes.

I love your sandwiches. They're just a little too pricey for me other than that I like going there. I'm glad that they have malts. You're one of the few places that do. That's my main reason I visit this place.

Food was good price was decent service was terrible which is disappointing some of the people were very helpful but literally 20 people ordered after me and received their food before me totally disorganized and slow

Buena park only one in town big crowd came from chicago to visit family food was good attraction out here it's only one of a few in the state chicago metropolitan area has many super dog on Milwaukee and nagle old time car hop no dine in all dine out equal to if not better your nitch is unique for California nothing special in Chicago or park ridge

Love their beef dipped sandwiches. Other people have told me their Hamburgers and hot dogs are great too. Lot of tourists from Knotts Berry Farm seem to wander in there, it's only a block away. Because of Covid-19 all employees are masked. The place is sort of noisy, so between the maskes, barriers, and noise triple check your order at the register. We have had some real screw ups on orders lately.

"DURING THRU THE PANDEMIC ALMOST OVER! " As I heard great reviews on this place. To be totally honest with you as a native Chicagoan. It's Nothing like the taste of Chicago! The Italian beef sandwich? Doesn't have that Zane to it. It was blanched, no season. I ordered with fries and i didn't get the fries. There were not inside the bag. The lady (Mexican tiny young lady) behind the counter taking customer's order, was rude, and disrespectful! When I told her what I wanted on my Italian beef sandwich? , she would just rolled her eyes. When I got my bag and take a bite of the Italian beef, it was not what I expected. So much nice reviews about this portillos hot dog place. Is was not worth it. For those who never try the finest food from Chicago should come here and try it is good for them. But, my taste buds is NOT the same as Chicago style. Just wannabes. I rate this place, a big fat zero! Horrible, for lack of customer's service, and attitude. As well as making sure you take the correct orders, and the taste is not even close like Chicago finest Italian cuisine. I only give it one stars for presentation. The rest thumbs down

As always the food is good the drive-in is different now you have to get a paper menu order and in the evening when there's a lot of people they only have one window open go figure

The last time our family had gone through drive thru, they accused my mother of flipping them off (she was injecting her insulin) They insulted my mother calling her names, a coworker and manager at the time, it was very unprofessional. It left us feeling upset and put us out of our appetite, they need to do a better job at customer service and staff guidance

Very good hot dogs and a excellent place to take a group. Very affordable group of 6 fed for $84

Hate they got rid of the ribs but in any case their food is Always good. My fav are the hotdogs nd LUV that they're here bcuz I'm originally from Chicago so I have little bit of home.
