PV Garage is the best and I will never go anywhere else. As just one recent example of their outstanding service, I called PV Garage when when my battery died. They responded immediately: Victor quickly came to my rescue and jump-started my car. What a huge relief it was not to have to call AAA and potentially wait around for hours (with four kids depending on me to drive them to their sports practices!). After testing my battery at the garage and discovering I needed a new one, Victor was able to confirm that it was covered under warranty so that I only had to pay for labor. PV Garage offers the kind of customer service you just don’t find anymore — they are a true gem!

My 1997 Porsche Boxster broke down on the road and needed a tow. It was late in the day and the toe truck could not get me there untill 6: 15 pm - they close at 5: 30. Victor waited late till I arrived so I would not have to park out on the street.
It's great to know they will go the extra mile for you - so rare these days.
Also, I was back on the road within a week - Great Job!

Based on the recommendations of several friends, I took my car to Tom and his team for a required maintenance after my technician of several years retired. I couldn't be happier with the fast and friendly service I received. Communication was excellent, the price was very reasonable and my tire warning light problem is finally fixed after persisting for 2+ years. I have crossed 'find a new auto repair shop' off my to do list.

10/14/21 Another great experience with Tom & his crew. My car was ready a day ahead of schedule and their thorough maintenance inspection turned up a wheel bearing problem. Now that it is fixed the car is running much better. So grateful that I always know where to go when my car needs servicing or has a problem.

4/7/22 As usual, another fast (extremely!), friendly and reasonably priced service from Portola Valley Garage. I just needed a smog certificate for DMV renewal. It wasn’t a rush job so Tom could easily have taken several days to complete the check but he just happened to have a break in the schedule and had my car ready less than 2 hours after I dropped it off. 5+ stars!

9//10/23 Always a huge plus to have a stress free experience with Portola Valley Garage. This visit was for a regular maintenance and new tires on one car and a smog check for the DMV on another. As usual the service was friendly and the pricing was very reasonable. More importantly, however, is knowing that Tom doesn't take advantage of us - his customers. He is honest in his assessments - if a problem is discovered you can be confident that it really is something that needs to be fixed!

Careful, knowledgeable diagnosis, precise service and helpful information. The Portola Valley Garage is certainly a five star experience!

PV Garage is the best. You know how hard it is to find a reliable and honest garage? Here it is. I appreciate them so much that when I lived in SF, I still brought my car to them. They service a wide range of cars from high end luxury vehicles, to classic cars, to new and used more ordinary ones. Many times they've rescued me with minor issues and not charged me. Tom even helped me with his expertise over this past weekend. PV Garage is a family-owned business, which has been here as long as I can remember. Yes, we love them.

Update 9/7/23: I cannot stress enough how grateful I am to Tom and Victor for going out of their way to help me: fitting me in last minute, coming to my house to bail me out and not charging for it, helping me with minor issues without an appointment! Thanks!

Took a SUV in for routine maintenance. All went smoothly mostly because Tom and his team were so flexible in scheduling in the car. Car was ready sooner than expected too!

The rats ate the firewall in the engine compartment. Major work to replace.
Tom’s team got it done sooner than expected and the car was in great shape when I picked it up. They were also very patient in dealing with my insurance company, who’s online system to gather photos of the damage was not easy to navigate or deploy. All in all a great experience.

After another garage did not properly fix my power steering I went to Portola Valley garage. They promptly fix my power steering and notified me of two other items needing repairs which they did. Thank you!

Tom and crew are great! I trust them, they know their stuff. I would never take any of my vehicles any where else. From Fords to Ferraris, they know them.

Tom searched the country for someone able to refurbish the transfer case on my 23-year-old 4X4. He shipped the part to the East Coast, had it rebuilt, shipped back, and installed in my Jeep in a little more than a week. Portola Valley Garage is where you want to service your vehicles.

The Portola Valley Garage was my go to place back in the sixties, making my 1937 Cadillac a reliable and most enjoyable daily driver. After a decades long time off, when I moved to Los Angles, I returned to the bay area and asked them to service my Ford F150. Their skills, attention to detail, and competency hadn't waned a bit - how often can you return to a business that you regarded as "the best, " to find that it's just as good as you remembered?

Tom and his mechanics are great. Been bringing our cars here since we moved to town. Totally honest and trustworthy, responsive and fairly priced. Highly recommend. Came in for a check engine light on the 14 Pilot this time and it was done same day and the entire vehicle was inspected.

The Portola Valley garage crew knows car repair and provides fast and friendly service. Establish a relationship with them and you become a lifelong customer!

Tom's service always gives us confidence that our car is fixed. We appreciate being able to tow in a "dead" car and retrieve a revitalized one. Thank you.
