Porto's Bakery and Cafe reviews
16It was my first time there and they did NOT disappoint. All the hype is real! Everything was amazing and the pork plate was to die for! We ended up having an allergic reaction and Alfredo and Allison were amazing! They never left our side to make sure we were ok. I am hooked! Will definitely be craving this and make another trip over and over!
This was my first time visiting a Porto’s! I was very impressed with the wide selection of treats and their reasonable prices. We got too many things to list here, but I particularly enjoyed the pumpkin danish and horchata cold brew
Incredible business. Great quality food, incredible pastries and desserts at an incredibly affordable price. Always busy but the wait isn’t ever bad. Go here.
Amazing place! Food was espectacular but the best of everything it was our server Andrew, he make us feel like home, really helpful and profesional. We will definitely come back!
We were there by chance and were very pleasantly surprised. Price-performance is optimal for the Los Angeles area. Porto’s Bakery is the epitome of the American Dream. Everything we tried was fantastic.
This is a massive Porto’s Bakery! Lots of parking available. Plenty of seats indoor and outdoor to enjoy your food! It gets so busy they have a Disneyland style stanchion line set up. Staff is friendly and the place is clean!
You can’t go wrong with the cheese rolls, guava and cheese and dulce de leche kisses. That’s our usual order. I haven’t tried the sandwiches or cakes due to just getting pastries before our ride back home. Drinks are a plus too especially the blended dulce de leche drink.
Really enjoy their food and had done the bake from home many times. Today was first time in person and the sandwiches were amazing. Big lines so be prepared to wait. Parking lot was overloaded.
What a great restaurant! We had many friends recommend trying this location and we are so happy that we did. The food was amazing and the prices are really hard to believe because they are so affordable. I highly recommend checking this place out.
Cheeserolls is
Very reasonable prices.
Huge place.
Clean & tidy.
Friendly & helpful staffs.
Porto's is an institution here in Socal. Family owned and ever expanding, this bakery/restaurant has made all the right moves to worm its way into my heart. Great sandwiches, baked goods (cheese rolls, potato balls, guava cheese turnovers, etc.) Not a whole lot to dislike here. Sure, some items are hit and miss (croquettes for example), but the Torrejas, and breakfast croissants are great. Now they even make really good drinks too! (Strawberry/Matcha). The parking tho, it's a hot mess. It is more or less like this at every location but it feels worse in Buena Park.
Wish there was one closer but if I’m ever anywhere there’s a Porto’s, you can bet I’m stopping! Favorite item? Cheese rolls please!
Terrible service.you order online and they ask you to select the time to pick up.and when you arrive to pick up your order you end up waiting 15-20 minutes because they just start putting it together.
Thanks for ruining a birthday! You forgot to give my uber eats driver the actual main thing I ordered. The Birthday Cake! Absolutely ridiculous. Will never shop here again. Waste of my time and my money. I want my money back!
Love the food. There's almost always a line bc it's extremely popular, but service is generally pretty quick. I love the pastries and hand foods. Most people come for that. The papa rellenos (both the picadillo and the jalapeno/ cheese) and guava pastries are some of my faves. I also love their hot foods, as well. The ropa Viejo has great flavor and the pulled pork is juicy. Both come with rice and beans that are seasoned and aren't bland or plain at all. Also, the mentioned meals include sweet plantains. I love the dulce de leches latte as well. I love dulce de leche cakes and saw they made it, so I got it the last time I was here. I did spend hours taking with a friend in the seating area, so it was a bit warm by the time I got to try it, but it was so good. Soft, moist, and good flavor without it being too thick or overly sweet. Definitely in one of my top 3 dulce de leches cakes, with a lavender one I had in Mexico City always my number 1. They have a bunch of other cakes as well. You can also always order online if you don't want to wait or order ahead of time for events etc.
We went around 10: 30 a.m. On Monday and it was crazy busy The line was all the way out the door. However the wait was moderate, and the food was in fact delicious. It was a little cold for my tastes, but even that did not make it less enjoyable.
