Poseidon Bike, Brea CA

Had a good conversation with a representative from this company. I had originally posted a negative review based on the delayed response from their website form. They seem to care about the quality of their company and their bikes. It clearly shows.

I know this is a young company with minimal staff. My only criticism would be they should be more transparent about this. It's a good thing they are a small team, but we need to know that to.

Picked up the Poseidon Dropbar X from the company's location in Brea, CA. I was greeted and was helped to bring the bike into my truck. This was in February 2022, and it has been almost a year now with the bike having thousands of miles on it. How well this bike performs on the dirt really depends on the tires your running, but it is a great handling bike anyways. However, I have only used this bike religiously on pavement only. The 38 tooth chainring is a bit small for my taste on the road but that is a easy upgrade I can do soon. It rides very smooth thanks to the fully carbon fork, and it really makes a difference. Overall, it is a great bike that you can build off of and add your own personal touches to it. For problems I have had with it, annoying brake rubbing and a broken spoke that happened recently because I hit a pothole, the X is still a really good, strong and durable bike and it has a very good looking, aesthetic frame. 9/10 recommend.

I Ordered the FX TRACKLOCROSS FRAMESET- small, according to the measurements provided on the site, way off by almost 2 inches, the forks are bent and have a large dent in them, Sent emails and called, the number is disconnected.
7-22-2022 Follow up: Poseidon sent replacement forks and remedied the problem, The frame is still much smaller than advertised.
11/23/22 Update: I really love this frameset, after Poseidon sent me the replacement forks the bike preforms flawlessly. The smaller frame has a more aggressive headtube angle. I tested with both 650B and 700C wheels and i found the 650B allow the bike to go over almost anything.
I will post some photos of the finished bike later on this year.

So I ordered my bike beginning of July, received it very quickly, tried to set it up myself.
Unfortunately the derailleur hanger got bent during shipping (common problem during shipping according to my local bike shop), so I was trying to adjust the derailleur with the hanger being the problem and not the derailleur I ended up messing everything up send it to the bike shop (this when I've learned that the hangers happens to bend).
I did mess up the derailleur and the shifter so got a new derailleur installed and new hanger by the bike shop they told me they would have to replace the shifter but could not find just the right shifter, so we decided to keep it at that since the shifter would work but not in an optimal condiction (skipping gear and rough).
Skip a few weeks and Luis contact me Thru email to see if I enjoyed the bike.
I explained him what happened and that I messed up.
And without a beat he decided to send a new shifter and a derailleur hanger free of charge. Even tho it is stated in their warranty that bad installation would not be covered.
Could not be more impress in a company than them.
I don't know anything about bikes, I lime to tinker and that is why I decided to try the installation process, but I do know customer service when I see it.
And they excel in this domain.
I can't say much about the bike since I'm no experience rider but the little I javelin used it even with a messed up shifter has been very enjoyable.

This company is great! I ordered a Poseidon X two weeks ago and I enjoy it so much. I set it up as a road bike with the disc brakes. The carbon fiber fork had a hairline crack in it and this company replaced it quickly! The customer service is just beyond me! Great Work. I definitely be buying another bike from you guys. Can't wait for the next lineup!

Caleb let me try both the Poseidon X and the Redwood at their backyard trail at Brea today. Really enjoyed the experience. Thw only problem I see is choosing which gravel bike model to purchase. Thank you Poseidon for the time!

Ordered a Poseidon X. It's an awesome bike, but I had an issue with one of my brakes. Luis made it right and offered a free replacement.

One of the best experiences I've had recently with a company. I hope the folks at Poseidon keep up the great customer service, because it's earned themselves a lot of recommendations and rave reviews from me!

I showed up at Poseidon unannounced, just hoping that I could look at some of the bikes in person to help make a purchase decision. I was warmly welcomed and the gentleman that helped me out pulled out three different bikes for me to try. He listened to what my needs were and did his very best to help me make an informed buying decision. He didn't mind waiting in the parking lot as I took lap after lap around the parking lot on all of these bikes.

The bikes are a great price for what you get and are supported by great people. I've had a lot of fun riding the Redwood!

Here's an honest review:

I bought a frameset from Poseidon recently for a custom build, and it was shipped to me quickly. When I opened the box, I noticed some damage and contacted the Poseidon directly. Luis was very quick to respond and offered to swap out the frameset, which he did. I had a few issues again, and again he went out of his way to assist and provide timely assistance. He shipped me another frame before even asking me to return the other one, after personally checking it over himself. I got the frame, it was perfect, put the bike together and was super stoked!

The level of care and professionalism that was showed to me was outstanding. Producing bikes direct to consumer like they do is a difficult task and not without notable challenges, but Poseidon rises to the task and absolutely goes above and beyond to ensure that you're getting something they are happy to have their branding and name on. That speaks volumes to someone like me, and tells me that I made the right choice.

After initially being hesitant and somewhat put-off, I can honestly say that I'm beyond stoked I decided to go with Poseidon and will absolutely be recommending them to as many people as I can. If you value the hard work and effort behind running a smaller business, do not hesitate at all to give them your business. Trust me, you won't regret it, and the bikes are super sick. Awesome bikes! When they shipped out my bike the box was pretty beat up during shipment and one of the brake rotors were bent. Emailed them and the owner literally responded in seconds. He shipped out a new rotor and it arrived real fast! I'm happy with the bike and company, hope to pick up another bike from them soon
