Wow! Not only did they work us into the cancellation list to get us in earlier but the techs/nurses who numbed my daughters mouth were so good that my daughter was singing the Disney movie she was watching and felt nothing! Thank you so much for the amazing extraction experience!

They were very professional and care for my child was a priority. I truly appreciated their patience with my wiggling child.

This is a wonderful place! My kids are 13,10 and 7. My youngest one has always struggled going to any Dr. Or dentist but the staff is always so kind, gracious and patient with her. Every visit gets a little easier as she gets used to it. I dont have one negative thing to say about this place! Wonderful choice for kids.

Horrible service rescheduling appointments with short notice and switching the reason from short staff to covid-19 but somehow managed to keep those appointment times open for other patients. No regards for patient care.

Dr. Bhakta is an excellent dentist. He has my children's best interest in mind regarding their dental health. He put a crown on my youngest today and took great care of him. He even called later in the afternoon to check on how he was recovering. I highly recommend.

My first experience here was awesome. We got to meet the actual doctor who came to look at my daughter's teeth. Can't remember what his name was. Then we scheduled her first procedure to crown her teeth and do her fillings. I was told her worst teeth will be treated last as they are trying to save her other teeths first before it gets worst. We did a special test visit and she did fine under the laughing gas. 1st procedure done by a different doctor. Had to schedule 2 months out for her next procedure. I had to pay close to $400 because my insurance didn't cover the other costs. I was confused because I only came in for a first visit which they only did a cleaning, that special visit test and the 1st procedure. 2nd procedure done. 3rd procedure was set out for 2 months again. During the 3rd procedure, my daughter was a little scared and didn't let the doctors do it so the doctor dismissed us because he didn't want to traumatize my daughter which was understandable. They informed me of choices such as sedation which will be a year wait due to covid and valley children's anesthesia teams schedule as they work together for this kind of treatment. At this time, I was devastated because the bad teeth got worst and I had to pay $1500 out of pocket for the cost as I was told, my insurance didn't cover the other amounts. When I questioned it, I was confused on the amounts and why my insurance didn't cover it all. I can tell the front desk lady was frustrated with me but I really didn't understand it. I was being polite the whole time and was just trying to understand my over due balance. My daughter was put on the wait list to wait for 1 year. Her next visit was her regular cleaning visit. Which she did great so I had the husband ask, since he took her, if they can try the laughing gas one more time. Again it was set out for another 2 months, but the 3rd procedure was done. Now, they can finally fix her super bad teeth. Her 4th procedure was scheduled this month and due to covid, we couldn't go and I asked if we can reschedule it for next week. I was told next available appt was in March. Another 2 months out again that we had to wait. And that's when it hit me because I can't keep doing this to my daughter and they can't keep doing this to us. I canceled everything. I will be taking her somewhere else who will understand my situation. 1 whole year and it was 3 procedures and 2 cleaning for $1800 after insurance. The first doctor that we saw, I believe he's no longer there as well. I came here due to the good reviews and I honestly thought it would be a great experience for my daughter and I.

We always have the best experience Powell Pediatric Dentistry. My son is 14 years old and had a cavity filled this week. My son didn’t have any pain, and the entire visit went very smooth. All of the staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. They explained everything well. We have always had great visits. My kids love going to the dentist!

We always have a great experience at Powell Pediatric Dentistry! Of course, my kids love the playset in the waiting room and the books/balloons! The dental hygienist that cleaned my son’s teeth was really fun and played along with my son’s silliness. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The dentist was thorough, gentle and kind. We love going here!

This was our favorite pediatric dentistry place but after today no more. So my 5yr old had to get work done and she had a "fun visit" back in August which went great. When I scheduled her treatment appointment they didn't have anything available until Nov. So, since it was too long for treatment I decided to switch her and my son to get her aching tooth better. So, today she started of great, even the assistant was impressed. The Dr didn't come in until about 15 minutes from her being ready. Then he comes in and asks me to please keep quiet during the procedure, which I didn't mind, and I did. During the procedure about 5 minutes left to finish my 5 year old, who's been laying with her mouth open for about an hour starts fidgeting with her legs. I did have to ask her to let him finish. When he was all done he tells me in front of her that he would not feel comfortable proceeding with future treatment due to her not being still, that she had not been "good" enough for him to feel comfortable. That she had score and F2 and in order for the kids to be considered good in office treatmentthey needed to be an F4. I told him that how did he not expect for 5 yr old to not get a little impatien after a long time laying if even some adults can't go through that at an adult age. He told me I could proceed by sedation or by seeking a second opinion but when I asked if it could be by the other dentist in office he said it would have to be outside office because he would share notes about my child and that would probably mean he too would not be comfortable. Overall, I think what hurt me the most out of all this is that while he talked about not traumatizing a child in a dentist chair atmosphere, when we walked out my daughter asked me if I thought if she had done great. I looked at her Nd told her she did amazing but then she said well then the Dr lied because he kept saying I was brave and doing awesome but when he was talking to you he said the opposite, that I had done not good. Well thanks a lot Dr.for making my child feel low after that. I will definitely be looking somewhere else. To bad that the great dentist that were there left. By the way I asked him what type of behavior did he expect to see a child during treatment, he said, "laying down with his arms on the side like a soldier, the parent sitting in the corner, and the child just smiling throughout the procedure". Sounds to me he needs to be working with robots.

Powell Dentistry is always a great place for my son to go to! Today we had to do a procedure for the first time. Dr. K and his staff were amazing with him! They put both of us at ease! I highly recommend Powell Dentistry to all! You will love it!

There were several things wrong with our visit at Powell. 1. We saw a provider that was out of network and it was never discussed. 2. There was an extensive amount of work suggested for a 5 year old. Close to $2000 and they do not have a payment plan. Plus, who does that amount of work on baby teeth? ! There was not an explanation given as to why work needed to be done. 3. I asked for my child’s medical records and when they were given to me they were blocked therefore they were not viewable. I took my child to another in network provider to obtain a second opinion and ended up only needing to have work done on a tooth that was bothersome. Not to mention we paid nothing out of pocket and my child was scheduled immediately to have work done versus waiting until September for something that was painful.

This dentist office used to be the best care for my child but after the two doctors that left this practice it’s no longer the best. During my visit today the tech offered my 3 year old a balloon if he was to take X-rays we tried and he refused to do it. She refused to give him a ballon after he profusely kept asking her. He’s a toddler not a teenager whose able to understand instructions. I will no longer recommend this dentist office to anyone. How can she possibly work around kids and be that type of person to offer a child something and not give it to him? Such an awful experience.

My husband took our two year old to her dentist appointment this morning. He said Dr. Bhakta was very kind and patient with our daughter. She had a great time and came home very happy. Our seven year old son has always had great experiences with staff as well. I am appreciative of the quality care our children receive at Powell Pediatrics.

They are the BEST pediatric dentist around! We drive over an hour to come here. My son is high risk and they have been incredible with his care. Kindest, most understanding group of individuals in the industry! If I could give them 10 stars I would!

Kids enjoyed the TVs above them. They seemed comfortable in this atmosphere. They have their first appointment in a month for treatment.

I recently took my son for his first dentist appointment at Powell Pediatric and Had the best experience, the staff was so friendly and helpful, Mindy at the front desk checked us in and was kind and informative, the overall experience was one of the best. Dr. Robinson is by far the best dentist in Fresno, I have never met a nicer Doctor. Dr. Robinson and his staff took their time explaining the visit and gave us helpful tools on how to continue good dental hygiene for our son. My husband and I were beyond pleased. I highly recommend this office. We recently went to our second appointment for our son and it was just as pleasant as the first, this is an outstanding office
