Prefab Granite Depot, San Diego CA

I had a kitchen remodel done by Prefab Granite a few years back. They did a great job at a great price point. The previous kitchen built during the construction boom in the 80s had lots of issues. The stove was so close to the turn in the countertop that the drawer around the corner from the stove ran into the oven handle when the drawer was opened. The only way to open the drawer completely was to open the oven door first. The upper cabinets were so shallow that a normal dinner plate didn't fit. There was no pantry and not much storage at all. The original upper cabinets were not equidistant from the bay window over the sink. And for some reason the wall that abuts the right end of the cabinets where the bay window in the nook starts was not as deep as a normal base cabinet. That meant that if a normal base cabinet was put there, it would stick out about 4-5" from the wall.

The designer at Prefab Granite fixed all of that and even made room for a lazy susan next to the stove. Installation went great. Prefab workers showed up on time and got it done without any glitches. It looked great (see photo). I was very pleased with the final results.

My husband happened to drive by and saw this store as we were looking for tile and cabinets for a new kitchen and bathroom. Though our project was small (@ 525 sqft) it was Karen’s great customer service that made us decide to go with them. We were treated as if the project was 10x that size. You won’t be disappointed with her and the owner. If you don’t have a vision they’ll soon create a beautiful one for you!

The shop was a wide selection of prefabricated slabs there for you look at however the customer service there is non-existent. Went in about a week ago and the two ladies there never even bothered to see if I needed help or had questions.

I was very happy with Prefab Granite Depot's job on my kitchen. They helped me choose colors and completed the work on schedule. I love the lazy susans, pull out spice racks, solid wood cupboards, quartz counter tops, and beautiful blue tile backsplash. The price stayed in my budget and they operated with a high level of organization. I was very nervous before the job began, but am very glad I chose this company.

The company installed full kitchen black galaxy granite for me.
Unfortunately one of the stones had visible scratch from the factory, which they tried to polish out but it is very hard if possible at all to polish defects on black galaxy granite.
However the installers removed the defective stone when it was obvious the fix is not going to work. Kudos for taking responsibility for the defect.
