We used Preferred Kitchen and Bath for a remodel of our kitchen and downstairs guest bathroom a few years ago and are now using them for our upstairs bathrooms. Our experience with Julie as well as everyone else involved in our last project was wonderful. We highly recommend Preferred Kitchen and Bath.

We bought a 30 year old custom built home with a beautiful ocean view, but it was in dire need of an update. The original design had the kitchen closed off from the rest of the home with walls blocking the ocean views. The powder room looked more like a dark closet and the master bathroom was dated. Adding to the challenge, the flooring in the main hallways was Flagstone! My wife and I interviewed many capable contractors, however, we found they just lacked the vision of what we wanted to accomplish. Enter Preferred Kitchen and Bath.

Julie Wu, the owner, has exceptional vision and taste. She was extraordinarily creative and helpful throughout the process of the design of the kitchen, dining room, family room, library, powder room and master bathroom. When you start on a major project like this, it can be intimidating and having an experienced, thoughtful guide was just what we needed and what we got when we selected Julie and her team.

Our kitchen was walled off from the rest of the house. We took down walls and created an open concept and the result is staggering. It's not the same house, it's been transformed into something you would see in architectural digest. You now have an ocean view from everywhere you sit or stand in the kitchen and dining areas. Previously, it was all blocked! We now walk into the room each day and marvel at just how beautiful it turned out.

The bar area was one of the areas in the living area which was previously dead space. Julie suggested building a bar and installing a full size wine refrigerator. It is now one of our favorite spots in the living area.

The powder room was a dark, small, closed in room. Julie guided us towards a beautiful marble counter with a built-in sink. The counter along with the new lighting makes the room feel twice the size it really is and the result is stunning.

The Master Bathroom had 30 year old cabinets and needed a refresh. The long countertop along with the new cabinets gives a very comfortable and contemporary feel.

Our job involved some structural elements, removing shear walls and installing a couple of glulam beams. We could not have been more pleased and impressed with the construction crew. Every remodel will have complications, and Jose and his team were always able to find a way to resolve any issues that surfaced. We were REALLY pleased with the craftsmanship and professionalism of the construction team.

The cabinet installer, Alex, is truly excellent. We made a couple of last-minute adjustments on the cabinet installation, and he was able to make it look seamless.

When we contemplated this remodel, we wanted to make sure we teamed up with a reputable company and true partner in the project. That is exactly what we got when we chose Preferred Kitchen and Bath. We could not be more pleased with the outcome of the project and are VERY grateful to Julie and her team who transformed our home into a true showcase.

When we decided to completely remodeled the kitchen and do some other work on a house we just bought, we were told by many to be ready for a lengthy, tedious, very stressful process which will eat up all of our free time.

Thank you so much for proving everything we were told wrong. You gave us the most beautiful, elegant and functional kitchen and you did it on schedule and on the budget. It became the center of all family gatherings and we just can't stop marveling at the awesome job done by the whole preferred kitchen and bath crew. Thanks to the efforts Lea, Jose and the crew put into our house; new floors, updated bathrooms, electrical system, remodeled garage and many more other projects throughout the house, we are thoroughly enjoying our new home. The whole crew is highly committed to your satisfaction, very professional, and always focus on quality of work. I especially would like to mention the ongoing communication during the project. All my emails, texts and phone calls were answered right away. Ongoing feedback on the state of the project was provided regularly. Every detail is discussed, communicated and addressed in a timely manner. They didn't just remodel our home; they took care of it and took care of us. Many times, crew has gone above and beyond their responsibilities, helping out with random deliveries, moving heavy stuff around. There is no job Jose's team can't do and they will do it till you absolutely and fully satisfy with the result.

We cannot say enough good things about Suzy and the entire crew at Preferred. From initial design through demolition and installation, they ran a very organized and expert project with specific crews for each part of the remodel. Large crews were on-site every day and they regularly worked more than 8 hours each day so as to quickly complete the project.
