President Thai Restaurant reviews
17The service was pretty good and the food was most delicious one thing that I thought was a fantastic idea was that they give you a picture of water in a tupperware jug with a lid and you serve yourself your water the staff is very friendly some of the meals that we saw there were served in this portable pot that kept the food boiling hot I think that might be something that I want to try one of these days I just don't know what it's called
Good lunch special. I had the pad see ew. The staff is very attentive and friendly. Good spot for a quick lunch on the lunch hour.
We went around 9: 30pm and they let us order 10 minutes before there kitchen closed. Great service, staff was so nice they didn't rush us to finish our food. The food was delicious! A little expensive but we did order quite a few plates between the two of us. We left around 10: 30pm. Would definitely go back here again! Dessert is also a must have!
Honestly I was blown away. I had the Roasted Duck Curry and it's been so long since I've had actual good curry. For the first time in years I couldn't finish a meal even though I really wanted to. My brother and I went in during dinner rush but we were quickly seated and our service was never wanting. Great restaurant, we'll absolutely be visiting again.
Absolutely delicious, Authentic great tasting! This is my first time trying this restaurant. The best tasting and quality food.
Came here for a birthday. Two months ago with a party of 6. Food took an hour to arrive at our table and it came one dish at a time and in an order that didn’t make sense Very frustrating. We asked three different waiters what is going on with the food and they all told us “the kitchen is backed up. ” At the end of the dinner, the owner? (Small elderly Asian woman came to apologize to us for the weight). But wait, there’s more. Flash forward 2 months to the present. Me and my family are back here again for another birthday, a party of 5. And the same issues are present. We’re being told from multiple waiters that the food is on the way and the kitchen is backed up. This is the last time we will be dining here. It seems management has prioritized maximizing seating capacity but not realizing kitchen staff can’t accommodate the additional seating. Furthermore, when your waiters get tired of making excuses for management, they will leave. And kitchen staff will be constantly rushed and burnt out and will leave. Management not addressing these issues will drive this place into the ground. Otherwise good taste excellent.
As authentic as it gets! Presidents BBQ Chicken or Pad Thai Chicken are must haves and their Thai Iced Coffee is really good!
Wonton soup is very good, we also got pad see ew and fried rice and they give you large portions, definitely come check them out for good Thai food.
President Thai is dope. The soups here are served super duper hot. Freaking amazing and flavorful.
We have a favorite thai restaurant where we live in Vegas so we have high expectations. This place did not disappoint. Definitely will be back when we visit Pasedena.
The food at President Thai is good. The service is good. The President Thai Beef is good. The Pad Thai is good. Parking is not easy.
The taste was great, but.obviously they forgot how to do a few things during the pandemic:
Tonight I ordered a dish consisting of spinach and my choice of protein and sauce. What I got was a giant heap of very fresh spinach topped with the protein and the sauce. When I write giant, I mean giant - I'm currently big and this was huge even for me.but.and here comes the catch: The spinach was also very cold/uncooked/untrimmed not steamed nothing. Surprisingly even the rice was also just lukewarm.but the taste.yum!
So this could have been a short 3.6 meaning upped a 4 star review with a few remarks about the a bit too cold food and maybe even the skidding glass plate on the table wouldn't have been mentioned, the fact that you can't really eat (white tablecloth style) giant spinach leaves with only a fork, a good review with the end that
"all is forgotten"
if the food tastes as good as it did.but then.half an hour before close, and while the people behind me hadn't even ordered yet (yes THEY were late), a new server, a lady (I didn't even keep the same server) seem to want to take the plates away while I had still my silverware in hand. Sorry now, THAT was too much. 2 stars for indoor dining, I rec'd take out, where you can bring the food home, finish the cooking or at least warm it up. Where you have not to deal with good and some bad servers alike.
Sorry too much room for improvement, looking at other tables I obviously ordered the wrong dish, may others with more luck tonight write a favorable review, I'd understand.
Nice ambience. Friendly crew. Food tastes great. Would love to have bigger portion on lunch specials.
Horrible service! The food is not even good, super expensive, don’t even bother to come to this restaurant.
I got the spicy fried rice mild. It was delish with the dark meat chicken. Partner got pao kee mao spicy level 8. Ate up the whole plate so I assumed they liked it HAHA. Service was quick and friendly.
This place has great architecture, the food is amazing (I had the pineapple curry) and the servers were very attentive. Looked this place up on Google looking for a place to have dinner close to our hotel while we were in town, and the ratings didn't lead us astray. Definitely plan on coming back to President Thai next time we're in town.
Easily the best Thai place in LA county. Its a lil crowded inside and always busy but that speaks for itself. Price per dish is justifiable, parking seems tight but there is parking next door. The owner is very involved in making sure customers are always happy. Keep up the good work.
