Presidio Tunnel Tops reviews
17A very nice park with great view of San Francisco Bay, Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, Palace of Fine Arts, etc. There are many benches, chairs, nice lawns, and a big children playground. It is run by National Park Service but there is no entrance fee.
Amazing park with beautiful views of golden gate bridge. Great playgroup for kids. They even have food trucks if you need to grab a bite to eat.
True to its promise of offering one of the best views of the bay, Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, and the city skyline -all from a single point. You can enjoy these views from the numerous benches, playgrounds, bbq and picnic areas, and criss-crossing walking paths. It connects the Presidio's Main Post (parade ground) to the bay as the park was built on top of the 101 Freeway tunnel.
Brilliant new addition to the park system. This small park connects the presidio with Crissy field and is a huge improvement to the area. Gorgeous views, picnic tables, playground, restrooms.
Expansive lawns for picnicking, steps away from the beach, epic views, a dedicated kids playground area and sparkling new bathroom facilities, what's not to like? ! The native drought resistant plants look a bit sparse, but hopefully they'll grow into their new space over time. Quite packed on weekends, but quite nice during the week if you can dedicate the time.
Best parks in San Francisco, I would also think one of the unique public parks in the world too
Amazing views of San Francisco, play area for kids
This new park is one of San Francisco's hidden gems. The unique playground makes you wish were a kid again.
Food trucks are a the top and bottom, so if you didn't bring a picnic all is not lost.
Great park.but a playground with hours that doesn't open until 930am seems like a poor design decision.
I'm glad it is open a bit later (6pm as of posting this review), but "sunset" would be better.
Been there on 2023 new year. Love the spectacular view of SF bay, Golden Gate Bridge, as well as other city skyline views. Also the new playground is very cool and all natural material based, suitable for small kids as well. Plenty of parking spaces and free on holidays. The only drawback is too many people today here for the new year.
Great nature experience but why does it close at 5 pm? Perhaps that’s only in the winter, hope it stays open later in the summer with longer days.
What a cool park, especially for kids. The play area looked fantastic with lots of unique structures to climb and explore
So much interactive fun. Beautiful views. Lots of historic information in the visitors center. You can easily spend an entire day here!
Fabulous, brilliant park… really interesting use of the environment - great design. Clean and well maintained. Sweeping views of the Bay and Golden Gate Bridge!
The most unique park and rec area I've seen in a long time! Playground is all natural materials and could keep a kid happy for hours! Already been my most favorite place in the city but this added to it. The open spaces and views are amazing.
Overall a very nicely designed outdoor space for kids old and young. However, it gets really crowded especially on public holidays, there’s limited parking, lots of traffic getting in and leaving;
one UNPOPULAR OPINION: if you don’t like screaming kids or don’t have kids and therefore don’t need to be at kid-friendly places, you may want to venture towards other parts of Chrissy field / Presidio away from the jungle gym. But, overall a great experience on a nice weather day.
Amazing views and one of the nicest and most creative children's playground I've seen. Dog friendly with lits of places to sit, enjoy a pic nic and the view of the Golden Gate and the Bay. Can get breezy so layer up.
