Price Self Storage, Solana Beach CA

We have been storing our RV on and off at the Solana Beach storage location for the last 10yrs. We have stored it both indoors and outside, never had any issues. Tanya has always been very efficient and helpful.

These access hours are absolutely pitiful. I get the office closing early but 7pm just isn't feasible for a lot of working people. Its not fair that I should be kept from MY OWN belongings just because they can't be bothered to keep the gate entry open another hour. Or even half hour

I have yet to move-in, but wanted to share this preliminary feedback as Mel hit it out of the park with customer service, and any new client should know that they’ll be in good hands.

This is my first-time renting storage and I was helped out by Mel who exemplifies kindness, patience, and professionalism to the top degree. Before entering a contract, Mel provided a tour of the place, which is maintained in immaculate condition: no clutter blocking the hallways, swept floors, and no broken doors or stairs. I was shown multiple units, so that I could get an idea of storage options. I decided on a 10x15 unit. Please note that their listings mention approximate size, and this was the case for my unit- it was closer to 10 X14; however, the unit is located near a main entrance, so it was worth the tradeoff in size (my move is mostly furniture).

Mel got me squared away with a contract. I’d be remiss not to mention that the company recently had a system update, which resulted in system limitations during the onboarding process, creating more work for Mel who powered through each technical hurdle like a champ. I was impressed with her ability to coordinate with her regional managers and to provide me with the necessary screenshots to ensure my account was in good order.

On that note, I highly encourage the Price Self Storage Tech Team to evaluate and address system limitations to continuously evolve and provide a seamless user experience for both their front-office employees and clients.

Price $400+ for 8 x 15 unit open 7 to 7. Charge $25 for every 15 minutes over! Not 24 hour access. Ice facility, clean drive up unit

Just a follow-up to the reply from Price Self Storage which I much appreciate. When I purchase an airline ticket, the price doesn't change after I buy it. When I buy insurance, the price is fixed for a year. Most importantly, other facilities in the immediate area guarantee their prices for a year, so not all storage companies operate with contracts that can be changed anytime by the owner on short-notice. It's ridiculous to have such a one-sided contract.

Make sure to read the fine print of the lease contract. There is a clause in the contract staying that Price Storage can change any terms of the contract, including price, solely at their discretion by giving you a 7 day notice.

If you want to go for low intro prices and gamble on future increases, be ready to pay more or move out within 7 days. I asked if they could lock the price for for 4 months and was told this isn't possible.

Signing a contract that the other party can change at any point (i.e. Raise the price to whatever they want) with a 7-day notice is a risky proposition. And yes, the fine print matters.

Great, local self storage. I have used them numerous times over the years and will continue to do so as the need arises. Good prices and service

Imagine a storage facility that despite having key coded security entrances and cameras, would restrict access to your things by closing early on new year’s eve and then not opening for another full day until Jan 2 right at the time that people are planning to pull things out for vacations, traveling, etc. Absolutely maddening and inexcusable for a business that is supposed to be serving the tenants.

Tonya, Mel, Ryan and the entire team at Price Self Storage are all fantastic. The facility is first rate and secure. The team is friendly, available and supportive. If you are looking for convenient and secure covered storage there is no place better! Thank you.
