Primos Mexican Food & Cantina

Used to come here all the time, but my god you’ll need to check what you ordered. I always order takeout and I used to make the mistake of ordering without checking my food, because they will mess up your order 9 times out of 10.
I used to pick up my food and drive home to find guacamole when I always make sure to tell them not to add guacamole. Fine, mistakes happen, but after the third time I knew I had to start checking before I drove home. On one night after sending a burrito back after I ordered no guacamole and it was full of guacamole, I drove home with the newly-made burrito and now they didn’t add chicken or fries (I never request for anything else to be added, I seriously only ask for no guacamole) i have never sent anything back anywhere else and because I have to do this every time here, I’m going to stop coming in. The last straw was a few days ago when I ordered a chorizo breakfast burrito (didn’t request anything to be taken out this time) and they forget to add the chorizo…
In summary:
If you order take out, you need to check everything. If they do mess it up and you’re forced to send it back, please double check that even. You absolutely cannot trust their chefs to be able to make a burrito. You’re paying a pretty hefty price for their food and subpar service, so you might as well receive what you ordered originally.

Small Mexican restaurant that's very convenient and just few blocks from where I'm staying. Food is good and it's a tiny place. Prices are ok but some items are pricey.

I like breakfast.

We had the breakfast tortas. They were so good. The bread was fluffy and the eggs and meats were flavorful.

Atmosphere
Pretty barebones, but it doesn’t need frills. It was nice to sit outside and eat.

Recommend?
Yes, I’d go back to try other menu items.

We love this spot. Love their green salsa! My favorite tortilla Chips, we always buy a bag to take home.

I"m here all the time. It's a bit of a wait if you go and order there. I strongly recomend just ordering by phone ahead of time. All the classic mexican fair and comically large monster burritos.

On the lower end of acceptable. Do not get the queso as it suffers from a complete absence of cheese.

Overpriced and small portions. Their "monster" has gotten significantly smaller over the years and they cut corners by giving you less meat. They're only in business because of all the college kids and Primos being the only Mexican restaurant in the area

This food was extremely overpriced and TERRIBLE. If I could give it 0 stars I would! I got rolled tacos for myself, a very simple dish that couldn't possibly be effed up, it was. Tasted like freezer burnt food, cold in some spots, completely inedible. My wife got a burrito which was too small for it's price and also could not finish because she said it was gross. 0/5 will not be eating here again.

Way better now that they got rid of that awful manager Stephania who would harass regular customers AND the employees. Cathia and Renee are the best. They make this location a great Mexican spot. We go back just for them.

Super Overpriced.bought beer and Carne sada fry.and they put hardly any meat on the Carne sada fries

Staff member looked me dead in my eye and asked if I wanted to order. Walked away when I said yes. I eventually ordered a steak burrito with half a taco's worth of steak in it. My friend got the chicken burrito which 90% tortilla and tomatoes. $15 each. Go somewhere else.

I waited over 20 minutes just to get a burrito. There was only 4 people waiting for an order other than me, But there's only one cook in the back end he was working on big orders Before he got to mine. Don't know why they don't have 2 cooks in the back so that 1 could be working on big orders and the other on In store orders.

This place is trash I waited for 30 mins for one burrito and one torta.then when I got the burrito it was so damn small I have never seen a 10$ burrito this small! Then I look inside and the one thing I asked to not have in it (salsa Fresca) they put it in! I’m so irritated with their attitudes there line of service and everything.as a first time customer I will never be coming back here again! DO BETTER

Asked my son to get me 3 rolled beef tacos with guacamole. He comes back and tells me rolled tacos only come as order of 5 and it cost over $11. But what I got was 5 rolled tacos with cheese and some guacamole. No pico, no lettuce, nothing else. And apparently they didn't ask if my son wanted any salsa to go with it. The grande order of rolled comes with said items and only cost $6 or $7.
Disappointing. No return for me. Will go the extra miles for another source of food.
