Called this branch to see if they accepted new memberships for SCorps and the person on the phone, Jacob, kept asking if it was a Sole Proprietorship. I told him no, it’s an SCorp at least three times. I made sure to ask him what they needed from me to open a membership for my SCorp and he said just the business license. I doubled checked that’s all that was needed and he confirmed.

Went to the appointment the next day and the person I spoke with said that Sole Proprietorship was listed on the notes and that an SCorp account would need a list of items to open the membership, all of which I did not have on hand because I was told twice that all that was needed was a business license. Had to come out during work hours and I don’t like very close (40 min round trip).

Very disappointed with Jacob’s lack of attention during our phone call and it was painfully noticeable. Not a good first impression or appointment, so I took my business elsewhere.

I've asked again and again for overdraft protection and for my card to be declined if overdrawn. And I've been lied to again and again that I have overdraft protection and have been charged overdraft fees each and every time. Provident CU profits from lying to their customers. If they can't be honest in this aspect, then that makes me wonder where else they're screwing people over.
