I’ve been going to the San Marcos office for over 6 years, and I’ve had a great experience with Dr. Marfori. She is attentive and invested in my well-being. She has even been accommodating when I’ve had to bring one of my children with me, both when I had a nursing infant and when my childcare fell through last-minute.

It can sometimes be difficult to get an appointment within a couple of weeks. However, if there is ever an issue that needs to be addressed sooner (like getting an appointment within 48 hours or getting a prescription refilled), she always seems to get my needs addressed timely. The office staff also returns any of my voicemail inquiries within 24 hours. I’ve never had any issues with payments or insurance processing my claims. When my insurance briefly changed (due to a company acquisition) and Dr. Marfori was no longer a covered provider, she was able to accommodate cash payment at a discounted price. I did receive a late for once for an appointment I was certain I had canceled (per my notes in my day planner), and my doctor made sure the fee was waived.

When I was going to the office, the staff was very friendly, and now I’m able to make appointments and have virtual sessions easily through the website.

Karen Stine is the most adept and insightful therapist. Thankful that we could continue progress via virtual meetings.

I have been seeing a very competent and compassionate physician at the San Marcos office for quite a number of years. The problems I have had as of late, are showing an incompetent staff. My appointments have been changed on their books without my knowledge, and I was billed for them. During the Covid pandemic, I have been unable to book an appointment or have a follow through on their part. There is no way to reach my Dr, nor the staff, as that is how their service is set up. I now have no appointment and no medication and no way to reach my physician, as now I am receiving only a bust signal. Save yourself a lot of aggravation and find a different physician.

I LOVE my therapist that is out of this office but the website/phone "staffing" is terrible. I leave messages to cancel or change appointments and they never call back to confirm (as the message says they will) and only sometimes do they actually cancel them. I've tried to pay my balance and schedule new appointments on the website but the pages never load; this has been the case for the last couple months at least. I can no longer get a hold of an actual person when I call so the only way to make/change appointments is directly with your therapist during your session. I get multiple text reminders every week and an automated phone call before 8am every Sunday to remind me of appointments, even after they've been cancelled. I don't know how it could be possible to be a new patient seeing as the phone doesn't connect to a person and the website sub-pages never load.

Do not be fooled by these comments. When seeking mental help it is important to find the right person. It is it or miss. I have been with Psycare for 5 years and have not had a legitimate complaint. Psycare has good doctors and not so great ones but I promise they are there. I highly suggest Robyn Anderson for therapy and/or Dr. Alonzo for psychiatry. However, be aware that it is difficult to schedule a doctor if you would like to schedule ASAP, you have to book 2 months in advance at least. Front desk isn't amazing but they are not as bad as these comments have presented them. Get there 10 min early for your appointments and you will be fine. It is a journey to find the right fit and Psycare has many doctors and therapists to choose from.

Would less than one star if possible. If you are seeking treatment here you will leave worse than when you came. They are not trained correctly if at all on how to handle mental illness or suggesting course of treatments, they are indifferent towards your struggles and make you question why you are seeking help in the first place. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

All these people care about is the money. The Doctor I saw had cancelled on me (twice I believe) yet I cancel once and get charged 100 dollars? That is absolutely insane, do not go through the pain of dealing with “mental health care professionals” that don’t care at all.

I had a mental breakdown and they took TWO DAYS to get back to me with help. It was an adverse effect of medication and after repeatedly calling, they FINALLY got me in touch with a doctor.who I couldn’t talk to for two days.

Do. Not. Do. It.

I completely agree with the rest of the reviews. Front desk is the worse. They are rude, ignore you until they feel like checking you in. They don’t make you feel welcome whatsoever. I had an insurance issue. They wouldn’t use my primary insurance because I had medi-cal for pregnancy as secondary. Even though medi-cal did not cover any type of behavioral health visit they still wouldn’t see me since medi-cal was active making it extremely hard to be seen.

For a business with Care in its name, theu not very caring. Massive late fees and penalties with little or no warning. For a place that treats people with disorders such as depression you would think they could develope a better system that doesnt double down on peoples worries when they miss an appiontment. Don't make the same mistake I did by ignoring the 2.8 start rating!

The front office is completely incompetent. My first appointment there I arrived 20 min early. 5 min before my appointment time patient A shows up- double booked with my same appointment time. 3 min before my appointment time patient B shows up, late, for her appointment before mine. First the doc sees patient B, then patient A, then me, 40 min after my scheduled appointment time. My intake appointment was insanely short. Luckily, I work in medicine so I knew what I needed but for patients needing a deeper assessment that definitely doesn't happen. I had a follow up today. I get there only to be told the appointment had been canceled and I had been texted a month prior. I never got a text. Come to find out, whomever put my info into their system changed a 7 in my phone number to a 5. Those two numbers look nothing alike, so this was definitely not a sloppy handwriting issue. No follow up call, email, or letter asking to reschedule the appointment that was canceled since the doc had gone on vacation. If all this place does is mess up appointment times and throw medication at you, I'll have my primary care doc manage my refills.

I really like the therapist I'm seeing (Robyn Anderson) but the difficulty in making appointments is significant. The front desk is only available to schedule appointments during my work hours, and even though I can see my therapist after work, the office is closed so scheduling appointments is honestly the hardest part. Some of the front desk people are nice but some are like robots that don't seem to see you at all. I've given up trying to be friendly and just speak as little as possible to them.

These people care too much about money to treat those who need it the worst, do not accept Medi-Cal.

Just another medical service "Factory". A constant churning of patients. If you enjoy the assembly line process, this is the place for you. I feel that prescriptions are written without prooer diagnosis and understsnding of patients problems.

For an institution that is supposed to help people.they have a complete disregard for ones well being and health. Customer service sucks. Go somewhere else or good luck!
