Audrey did a fantastic job on my hair again! She is brilliant at color and knows how to cut my curly hair. Since going to Audrey I get lots of compliments on my hair color. Got my hair colored with highlights, a cut, my hair straighten (a special treat). I left super happy and feeling great! I love Public’s style, feel, Audrey and friendly staff!

It's an okay barbershop - I made a reservation the night before, and was seen by Bridget. I got a free beer on entry, which is really great - the beard cut could have been a bit better, with a bit more time spent on it, felt a bit rushed. All in all, my beard is cleaned up, it was a decent trim, at a decent price.

Come here as it’s so close to my apartment. I used to book with Jared before he moved. Nice people and local.

Wow, what a gem of a gents barbers. Great welcome and service, then an awesome haircut. I almost wish I had a beard so I could get them to sculpt it! Love the high ceilings and ton of books, really relaxing. Well worth a visit if a man wants to look like a gentleman. Thank you

It was great, but if you want a true barber shop cut and shave, hit up Fellow barber in the mission district.

Love this place! Very friendly! Upon entering, you are warming greeted by a friendly smile and are given a free beer! NOW THATS AWESOME! All stylists are friendly and are easy to get along with. They legitally know what they're doing and know a variety of styles. NOTE: Before going though, Make a reservation first at least a week in advance. If you need a perfect haircut for any reason, you MUST GO!

Been going to Public for a long time. Most of the stylists seem to be pretty good, and the owner Steve is a stand-up guy too, all-in-all, I recommend Public Barber!

Chante is amazing! She has been cutting mine and my husband's hair for the last year and we love her. The actual salon is rustic and beautiful. They are also dog friendly which is a huge plus for us. We are die-hard loyal to this salon:)

I always come here for my hair cut and I always ask for Manny. Hes great and his cuts are great. The prices here are very reasonable. Be sure to call in advance (every Tuesday) to make a reservation because slots get filled up fast. Its a great atmosphere and everyone is really friendly and Manny is great!
