Yeah it is nice place to hang out for 15-30 mins. However, the timings of the place are weird 9 am - 4 pm on all the days. In addition, the administration doesn't allow you to park the car on the premises on the weekends and can't park outside for at least 1 mile in either direction. One needs to plan before visiting the monument. The administration hasn't considered that for some the timings and the lack of parking won't work which is a bummer

Nice place to visit. Not just a great place for photos, but a perfect place to chill. The grass is maintained and provides people with sufficient space for picnics/naps.

Shocked at how many times I visited neighboring Filoli Gardens and didn't know this was right here

Does have limited hours 9-4 M-S, but the parking lot is closed on the weekends.

They also suggest you call in advance of your visit as they do book weddings and events and they can let you know the day of if anything is scheduled

Gorgeous green lawns, the pool was very low on my visit but you are not allowed in it regardless.

The lavender is in bloom and smells amazing right now!

Saw families bringing picnics.

Will go back now that I know

Very small place. Difficult to park. Not worth it.

The temple and pool are much smaller than how they look in photos.

Only 30 minutes parking inside and no parking in weekends. No street parking nearby.

Weather you live in the Bay Area or just visiting, I would highly recommend this place to stop by bring a book or device and just chill.

Beautiful area right on the Crystal Springs water aqueduct. Fresh water springs nestled in the Santa Cruz Moutains heading to Halfmoon Bay. It's easy to just drive by but this historic site with its temple dedicated to water is is really a beautifull and peaceful area.

Well worth the trip and time. The nature surrounding this area is also home to a lot of wildlife.

Highly recommend visiting this secret treasure. Just Awesome!

Lovely place, architecture looks so roman! Great place to spend 30/40 mins. Small nifty parking open only on weekday, pedestrian access on weekends

The temple itself is a pleasant place to be, but if you’re going there on the weekend, the parking lot is closed. Do not park along the road as a bunch of cops know where to go to issue tickets.
You can only park about a mile away from the entrance.

It's a green lawn with a 6" deep cement pool and something like the Palace of Fine Arts structure. A circular track to walk on. Some shaded areas. Probably a nice place to get away from the traffic of 280, but.you can only park for 30 minutes, sorry. You can fill your water bottle for free!

Canada Road is closed on weekends so you need to plan how to get there. 1) there is a bike parking lot two miles north, get there early for a spot, then walk along Canada Road or hike along the trail 2) ride share or get dropped off at the south entrance one mile south of the gates to the Filoli gardens, then walk along Canada Road.

If you arrive before 10/11, then you will avoid most of the crowds. Follow the gravel path after the double gates and pass the drinking fountain to get to the simple yet beautiful temple. South of the rectangular pool surrounded by cypress trees is a circular concrete stage. North is a tholos dome, circular Greek temple with a well at the center (gated so no one can jump/fall in).

Perfect place for photos, with friends or for engagements! I recommend using portrait mode and stand a little closer than you think.

Amazing place to relax and spend some quality time with friends or family!
Bring a blanket, find a spot in the shade along the water and enjoy the views!

On weekend they close parking so you park on the shoulder and get a 33$ ticket. Corrupt local government at its best

Should post when there are private events. I drove all the way there and when I arrived was closed for a wedding.
