Pupfish Cafe reviews
20I stopped by here for breakfast on my way to Mammoth due to the high reviews. OMG the breakfast waffle sandwich is amazing. The latte is also top notch quality. Very friendly staff! Now I'll have to stop by more often.
The best breakfast place in town! There’s so much to say…
The paninis never get old and their waffles are a MUST! They offer a paleo breakfast too which is phenomenal.
Lattes are so incredible! I usually end up getting 2. With the bookstore right there, you’ll never want to leave. A coffee and a book in hand… nothing is better.
My kids love the steamed milk for their “coffee” drink
I’d have to say the best part of it all is how it feels. It feels like you’re sitting at a friends house enjoying great company.
Thank you for opening such an amazing place!
I come in once a week or so for the quiche. It comes with some greens tossed with a light vinaigrette. With a cup of coffee it's quite the yummy breakfast or lunch.
Wonderful local spot with great mochas and in the back of a cool book store. Nice flavor to the coffee. Willing to make it to desired temperature and use my reusable cup. Miles above the Schat’s bakkerÿ coffee!
This is the best coffee in Bishop! It does not disappoint with barista’s that know coffee! Thank you!
The food is great, but it’s the staff who are truly wonderful. We only ordered a sandwich, and the server brought out an extra bowl of strawberries for my toddler.
I’ve also seen them feed unhoused people with dignity and no questions asked. Truly a wonderful local business.
Hot off the trail I was looking for a morning to relax and read. Picked up a book in the attached store - Spellbinder - then got the breakfast waffle sandwich specialty and coffee. Stupidly delicious treat, nearly ordered 3 more. Super friendly staff offered free coffee refills of a cup that cost 2.50.that's unheard of in most places. I read in peace for hours and would do it all again, what a gem!
I wasn't expecting much.but to my amazement the panini breakfast sandwich was spectacular! It had the perfect amount of cheese a d the most yummy ham. The cappuccino was nearly perfect with the only exception of not having micro foamed milk which takes a lot of time to learn how to do. All in all I will make it a point to come here whenever I'm in town.
The food is incredible, the staff friendly and amazing, and the prices are very, very reasonable! Incredible place, a wonderful place to eat breakfast. My two friends got quite a lot of food for $35 including gluten free bread on the side. My boyfriend and I spent $28 or so on grilled cheese panini, breakfast waffle, and the grilled cheese panini and soup combo, as well as two sodas. Very, very reasonable prices, and it's connected to our new favorite bookstore, Spellbinder Books.
Great paninis. Outside area for your pet with misters and water bowls. Dessert waffle was so tasty with fresh fruit and cream, no syrup was needed. Right off main street, parking in the back.
Great coffee and very tasty avocado sandwiches and salads. Nice back patio to relax with your coffee.
I am a fan of their Liege waffles! And I go to them for usual coffee and veggie sandwich. Always support local business and I love seeing the different artist artwork they feature over time. As well as I like that it is connected to my other favorite shop Spellbinder Bookstore.
Best breakfast in town. Different fare that offers things like a low carb Paleo breakfast (my fav). Their coffees and teas are good too. I love the owner, Janette. She's always cheerful and attentive.
If ever passing remotely through or near Bishop, this is the hey 395 stop to make. I'll never drive through Bishop on my way to Mammoth or Tahoe without stopping here first!
Front is all unique bookstore, used & new items. Nice pottery, pride items, incense, you name it. Reasonably priced.we bought both new & used books & gifts!
Cafe is in the back. Indoor & patio seating. Great food. I ordered a custom spinach salad & hubby ordered portobello panini & peppermint tea. Everything, including the service, was excellent. They had food for vegans, vegetarians, Paleo & meat eaters. Smart menu!
Generous amount of salmon on toast with cream cheese & punchy capers, ample fresh avocado slices on another toast order. We didn't have coffee this time but they have a full espresso bar. Delicious paninis: we tried the portabello & feta etc. A place for something a little different! Closed Wednesdays and close at 2PM other days (call or check this). If you are running late: call & order for pickup- I saw them being helpful to someone this way. AND YOU CAN'T BEAT A NICE CAFE at a BOOKSTORE! PS There is plenty of outdoor seating for your Covid comfort or to enjoy with your dog.
We had best sandwiches ever! Panini sandwich with smoked Turkey and avocado and sriracha sauce is hands down the best! The lady who served us our breakfast was very friendly!
Best peppermint mocha I’ve ever had in my life, and the owner, Jeanette, is super-cool (although I do know someone who knows her #fulldisclosure). Great panini’s! And I even found a copy of a book I couldn’t find anywhere else in the bookstore attached to the café!
100% will stop here every time I go to Mammoth. 5 Stars A+ 10/10 Yum
Delightful space off a bookstore, with a very friendly staff and brunchy menu with paninis and breakfast sandwiches.
Good littl cafe in Bishop. If you have a hankering for some avocado toast, this place will satisfy.
We return every year for breakfast at the pub fish. It's always really tasty and healthy. Love the staff.
