To start, I want to be very honest and I want you to know that I have nothing against anyone. My brother and I decided to go to eat at this place wanting to support our fellow Salvadorans who choose to have a little bit of our gastronomy in this great country. We arrived at noon and ordered 2 pupusas for $4.75 each (much more expensive than in San Francisco itself where we live $3.25) apart from being flavorless, extremely thin and not worth it. My comrade ordered a canned fresco and I ordered a Pepsi, he ordered a roast beef and I ordered some mixed fajitas with rice and liquefied beans (the dish was extremely basic). The beef fajitas on my plate were 40% skin and nerves and the rest was fine.chicken, the roast beef dish had such a minimal portion that I never thought I would pay so much for so little and such bad food. The place was so desolate that at the end of our meal we realized why….
In the end, after the bad experience and scoring this place in places where we would not return, we asked for the bill and that was the biggest surprise: 2 plates of food (nothing extravagant or outlandish), 2 drinks (nothing alcoholic) and 2 pupusas, the total was $74.50 per The menu has no price and it is the way to charge you whatever they want. Days before, my family and I had lunch at Applebees paying $95 for 5 people. Seriously, the value of 2 typical and basic lunches is outrageous, which should not be greater than $21 maximum, unfortunately places like this do not prosper and too bad for them wanting to charge a couple of clients so much for so little.

Just left this place I was craving some popusas and decided to check this place out, super easy to find with enough parking, the staff was super nice and helpful, felt very authentic like if I was in their home. The food was made to order fresh and a big size and the curtido and sauce were so good! Definitely will return, great. Taste!

The workers were extremely friendly and hospitable. The pupusas were very very bland, along with the rice, and the beans I got were EXTREMELY salty. I paid 22 dollars for 2 pupusas with just beans and cheese, and a very small side of rice and beans. The mild salsa they gave me tasted like tomato sauce and water. I highly doubt this is the actual price and I believe I was up charged because I’m not latino. Overall after paying $50 for two small plates and a pepsi I will not be going back.

I ordered chicharrones pupusas and I gotten cheese pupusas, Yuka con chicharrones and the only thing that I saw it was alittle fat and the rest of the chicharrones it was like they gave me the left over of not even a normal chicharron size, the Yuka was old and grease I gotten heartburn instantly, I'm so sorry, but the price that I paid almost $90.00 and the only good thing it was orchata. I think I asked for chicharrones not and old Yuka plate. That's was the worse pupusas and Yuka con chicharrones that I ever had. Bad not good at all.

I really like the kindness with which Mr. Carrillo Romero treats me and my entire family. He is an excellent professional and human being.

Grabbed a couple pupusas this past weekend for the first time. I had 2 (bean and cheese) pupusas and 1 (chicken and bean) pupusas and they weren't bad at all.

First off, we had great customer service from the owner himself and he was super nice. Thank you for praying for our meal and for us, God bless you.

El salpicón was the best meal! I bit expensive but it was good with the rice and beans, casamiento was OK.

Las pupusas de harina de arroz could use some help, I personally like them thin but they were missing some personally and flavor.
(Owner was open to feedback and hey we'll have to go back to see wassup)

Sopa de gallina india was good, very clean and well done.

Don't judge by the reviews or the look of it, give them a try and enjoy. They have a lot of Salvi goodies, so it was worth the try.

The pupusas are good. Some of the other stuff not so much. It is hard to communicate if you don't speak Spanish and there are no prices listed on the wall with the pictures of the food. The people were nice and the food I ordered was hot. I've been there twice and I would go again. I have no other Salvadorian restaurant to compare them to. I have more experience with Mexican food.
