Indian Restaurant Puranpoli reviews
18If the restaurant was to be described in a word I'd say suppperb you definitely can't find such awesome Indian food else where their sol kadhi tastes just awesome i strongly recommend to try this restaurant out
The food was pretty good taste wise but they were a little irresponsible with the order. I ordered a wada pav and pav bhaji for dine-in which were really really good. Later I ordered two puran polis for takeout and when I got home with the parcel, I discovered they had only given one puran poli instead of the two I ordered. Overall not a very good experience for takeout at least.
Indian food can't get more better here such mouthwatering food the taste is amazing i tried vada paav and paav bhaji which literally blown my mind i strongly recommended to try it!
We ordered pav bhaji, misal pav, vada pav, puran poli & modak. The stars were pav bhaji (amazing flavor and perfect spice level- better than paav bhaji hut maybe), misal pav had outstanding flavor as well (was a bit oily but he warned us- you can ask for less) & modak was steamed with coconut filling! So so tasty.
The food is really awesome you can't find better indian food else where their puranpoli will literally drive you to a taste rollercoaster its just awesome strong recommendation ️️
Missed some items in the takeout order. Before ordering when I called the restaurant they said that the only vegan items on the menu are the vadas.
I only tried Puranpoli and it’s delicious. They provide a little cup off ghee with each poli. They actually use jaggery unlike another Gujrati small place in Sunnyvale which uses sugar.
However, I don’t think they use dark marathi jaggery- not easily available perhaps- other than that, I would go again for sure.
Truly justify authentic taste of Maharashtrian cuisine. Loved vada pav, solkadi, sabudana vada though PURANPOLI with ghee was the highlight of the meal. Must try!
Most authentic Puran Poli. You have to eat it fresh out of the Tawa with lots of toop. Kharpus bhaajleli Puran Poli. Just like my mom made it.
Best Puranpoli and modaks you will get in Bay Area. Amazing service and truly authentic Maharashtrian food. Must try.
Ordered to takeout: Vada pav, sabudana khichadi, puran poli (of course) and solkadi. It feels like home made food!
The puran poli actually had a proper amount of puran. Too many other restaurants have disappointed me by their substandard quality. This was so so so much better.
The vada pav brought back memories of school times.
The khichadi had the right "phodani", crushed peanut and just the right texture. Pairing it with the yogurt was a perfect touch.
The solkadi was exactly what I needed at the end.

Pav bhaji and vada pav reminded me of Mumbai street food. All this with kokam drink and tax costed only $15
What an exciting find! I wasn't sure the sabudana vada will be crispy enough.but it was! And was delicious! The smooth sauce with it was perfectly tangy and the way it should be. I loved the misal pav. It wasn't overtly spicy and was just right. The modaks were absolutely delightful! Must have patience to have perfect modaks. It comes with some homemade ghee and the stuffing is rich and generous. I will highly recommend you give this place a try. The owner is a nice chap from Dadar, Mumbai.
Great quality food. I tried Modhak for the first time at this place, amazing quality and taste. We also ordered Puranpoli, Samosa, Vada Pav and Ginger Chai. All the items are made to order and very fresh. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend this place.
Authentic maharashtrian food, feels like home! Best dishes I've had here are Vada Pav, Sabudana Vada and the Frankie.
With the best service in the bay.
Given the Shelter in Place, we ordered through delivery. Usually delivery is never quite as good, especially with fried items, but the food was outstanding nonetheless. I'm familiar with most Indian staples, but never had Maharastrian cuisine before so we just went with a friend's recommendations of about 5 different items as to what to order and everything was new to me except samosas (which were great). I would absolutely love to go in-person once we get our restrictions lifted and sample the menu even more
This place serves amazing food! We had ordered a To-Go for Vada-pav, Misal-pav, Sabudana-vada, Amul cheese Frankie, and Mango Lassi. Everything was super yummy, especially the Sabudana vada and Vada-pav. My only complaint was that the Farsaan quantity for Misal-pav was a bit less. Also the Misal-pav could've been spicier, but I guess I could've easily told them my preference while placing the order, which I'll do the next time I order here:)
